Lances as well because of their general specificity in use, debatable whether they're more worth it than a good HLC in endgame situations, and that while you can use lance charge and hit six digits without even trying, that's basically the only thing lance has going for it and it makes it a very boring skillset in my opinion. Very little versatility to me, and a ton of emphasis on overpowering strength rather than efficient use.
well i respect your opinion
but i can tell how a lance overpowers any other melee weapon under the same endgame conditions
LC only? hell no
smash, wm, LC, assault slash, yes there is not much more than that, but besides defense and counter (L counter sucks) there is not much difference between regular melee and Lances but the damage you can deal on high prot enemies.
Not like it will make much of a difference on a high reforged set tho, both will OHKO, unless we get harder content for those...

Why do puppets seem to be so universally hated?

Favorite: Magic/Alchemy/Fighter
Current Magic is amazing from a pure game design perspective. Clear strengths! Clear weaknesses! Literally everything in the skillset is useful! Lots of different ways to fight depending on the situation at hand! Maybe a few things are overtuned like Firebolt (and just barely) but not gamebreakingly so. With the buffs, the effort to reward curve is just right. The only thing I could want is a general ego buff and maybe an early game nerf to Firebolt in exchange for a late game buff, and more magic enchants. But other than that, it's damn near perfect atm.
Alchemy is a bit less perfect (Raincast needs a rework bad, Summon Golem needs a buff of some sort, Hydra needs a damage nerf in exchange for more utility), but the versatility and effort to reward curve is definitely there, though you do overspecialize hard between fire or water as opposed to magic being a swiss army knife. Granted, you could always just run both cylinders if you have the cash. Shock is such a great skill too.
Fighter: Fun to use. A bit facerolly in terms of execution, you'll always win a 1v1, but in a game where multiaggro is everpresent, dealing with it is a major challenge that every fighter deals with. It's probably too strong early game though.
Least Favorite:
Melee: Literally just stack as much damage as possible then Smash/WM/Assault Slash. Oh and Lance Charge if you have a high end lance and abusive lance charge reforges. I get that high end melee players worked for that damage but that doesn't make it any better design wise. Melee just seems incredibly boring compared to alchemy or magic.
Puppetry: You look at all the skills available and you think "damn that could be a really fun and interactive skillset". And then you realize Crisis/Climatic murders 90% of the content you'll ever face in the game.

I have some small ideas on Summon Golem if you're interested?:o

Favourite is archery, duh. Splashing groups with Magnum, stacking things to Crash them, kiting around to avoid damage under multi-aggro, the tension of fighting two aggrod enemies at once with AR... I love range.
Least favourite is easily close combat. Always just seemed so boring to me. Enjoy your rock-paper-scissors simulator, use a beam sword and have "fun."

More like Magnum -> Magnum -> Magnum -> Magnum. Ranged RPs are always buttfuck simple because they have to assume whoever is doing it has never picked up a bow before and doesn't know how to use one. Also if you try to rotate between Mag, Ranged, and Defense, you're gonna get slapped around a lot. That's not how you use a bow.

What, no love for Magic? Sure, it takes forever and a bloody day to get to the fun stuff, but the fun stuff is really, REALLY fun. Snapcasting Fireballs and then spamming Thunders will never not be fun for me.
Meanwhile, I'm actually not a fan of archery. I like skillsets with uniqueness and intrigue, which is why I usually go for magic whenever it's presented. With Archery, basically all you do is spam the same few types of projectiles, and while that's all fine and dandy, I loathe the charge up meter whatever the crap. At least magic gives you a ton of projectiles to spam.
