It can be difficult to start, but rank Water Cannon or Golem early, along with Alch Mastery.

Imo it still needs more of a foundation. I'd reccomend maxing range skills and lifeskill after. Play with mirage + alch after it may be intresting dps.

It's entirely possible, don't listen to the haters.
Even at low ranks, water cannon can do decent damage. As it goes up, it becomes a great skill. It doesn't take very long to raise it up anyway.
Imo, human range is much harder to start with than alchemy.
I say it's easier once you've got stuff ranked... But it's easier to dabble into anything else when you already have another existing skillset. Durr.
If it's a new character entirely and you already have an established character with money, I would say it's completely possible and doable. Getting a set of water drop equipment isn't hard, and it helps very very much with low water cannon ranks.

It's not as expensive as pure mage, but still...
You'll also need a lot of inventory room.

I was going to just get r9 WC for decrease load time and then start ranking Flamer

It possible. Only real problem is that most alchemy skills damage aren't based on stats so there's a point where you wont get any stronger than you already are.

yea, but r1 AM, r1 of the alchemy masteries and r1 crit and r1 of the skills is still pretty damn powerful.

With Golem, you got your Melee down.
Alchemy is essentially Magic without wand or the MP. Instead, you use a Cylinder, Stamina and ammo (your Crystals).
You can do definitely do it, especially with the upcoming Tower Cylinder and Chain Cylinder skill of G12 (and those nice Masteries in G13), but it might be kinda hard to pull off until you start getting into those numbered ranks for your Alchemy skills.

again, rA ranged, r9 magnum, r6 refining, level 24, can rebirth at any time with free rebirths, AND free nx from surveys makes getting r9 flamer/WC easy gets :3 oh and falcon :3

one question though. would it be worth it to get r9 WC and then start ranking flamer? or just start out with flamer (after the nessasary skill req.)
And should i just be ranking AM along with my alchemy skills? or get my alchemy skills to a certain rank and then get a certain number of ranked of AM?
also, making crystals ranks up Barrier spikes, so i should probably be ranking that too while im getting exp for it...
What should i be doing for exp then. Total level is 13X. notable skills are r9 Mag, rA ranged, rA production (fuuuu), r9 WM, r9 IB, and r6 refining. I guess shadow warrior on basic? or is there a better exp thing for me?
thanks <3

I'm not a good Alchemist, so I can't answer the first question. haha
I say rank AM along with your other Alchemy skills. What rank is it now though? Attacks and kills don't start counting 'til Rank 9.
Making Barrier Spikes is an excellent way of training AM. That's what I did. By the time I had Barrier to Rank 1, I had like Rank B AM. It's kinda annoying to train, but it should be easier now with auto-production.
For experience, you can do the normal Shadow Missions, right? Tara monsters have less HP, but have a quick aggro, so I'd do Tara. And party, party, party. It's a good way to finish missions quicker and earn experience fast. I recommend Shadow Cast City on Int. Solo (if you can) or with a friend. Shouldn't be too hard.
