Just wait for it to become free to play. The game isn't a must buy anyway.

So true, It's got some polish though. Nice art style, an interesting world and characters. Gives me a ratchet clank vibe.
Other than that, its not doing anything different. Its another themepark mmo.

I really like the style of the game, but since I don't have a working source of income I'll probably hold off until I get a job to buy a subscription then.
One of my quirks during beta though was how badly optimized it was.

There is no question in my mind this game will become a free to play. So really just be patient. I tried the beta and my laptop was lagging out so bad I don't think I will be playing it either way.
In current MMO market, p2p is unsustainable. Games like WoW, Eve, or Dofus entered the market when p2p was the norm, people use these as examples of sustainability of p2p model, but really if you study economy you will realize these are just price lags. Clearly MMO market has very sticky price. But none of the newer games will survive using the old model.

More games should do both, like Runescape.

Hahaha. Runescape also came out when p2p was the norm though, but it was kind of innovating in the fact that it allow you to play for free even if you are severally handicapped.
I don't think the model works, since SWTOR tried that and it didn't work.

This isn't always true, look at A Realm Reborn.
Square Enix Profitable Once Again
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is the biggest reason for this success with over 2 million registered users enjoying the game and that number still on the rise. It’s one of the best MMORPGs over the last several years, some would say better than The Elder Scrolls Online, and seeing such a classic Final Fantasy inspired game succeed to such heights brings me nothing but joy.

Yes it recently came out recently (not a year old) but it has a pretty strong flow of new users.

Is it a Japan release or worldwide or NA? Because p2p mmo is indeed still viable in Asia, but not North America.

ARR is worldwide (or at least in major markets like EU, JP, and NA). I think Wildstar is only NA and EU at the moment. I tried Wildstar during the beta nothing really stuck out to me.

Really? It looks so fun to play!
Is it very point and clicky?

From what I've seen of the game, it isn't worth paying for.

It's repetitive. The tutorial is way too long about 30-45 or something.
By the time I got out I put like 10 minutes into the first area and uninstalled it.
It's a WoW clone that does not bring anything new to the table and in my opinion falls flat on fun/pleasing portion, well it does one bring one new thing which is the "you can buy more subscription time with in-game currency" subscription

Yes.

That's far from being a new concept.
