Hi there,
I have just recently returned to Mabinogi to revisit some old memories and from what I have seen, there are tons of new things. I am still trying to get a sense of everything before I start doing anything. Based on the time since my last rebirth, I have not played for almost 2 and a half years. I have a few questions I wanted to ask you guys.
1. Does anyone use Spirit Weapons? I doubt I came across a single person with a Spirit Weapon.
2. How do I increase inventory space (as of now)? I see that bags are usable without the need of Premium Service and the Luxury Equipment Bag selling right now. I might get it.
3. Are there any specific skills I should rank up early on or else my journey later on will be more difficult? My total level is 750 (exactly) with a few notable skills (Rank 1 Windmill, Smash, Range Attack, Critical Hit, Refining and some other higher rank skills). I am really interested in the Fighter skills, but I will get to those after rebirth.
4. Is there any way to organize Characters and Pets at the log in screen? I get a little OCD about organization (to the point where I took drastic measures) and it bugs me a little.
4. b) Is there any way to rename Pets? Once again, a little OCD about how my younger self named things 6 years ago.
5. Should I wait for certain Pets to come back on sale again? There are a lot of cool pets and character cards I have missed over the years. Really wish I could get my hands on them now that I have the means to do that.
I have more questions at the tip of my fingertips, but I cannot seem to get them out as of this moment. Maybe later, more questions will come.
Thank you for your help!

1 - I see them from time to time, but they're meh now. With artisans and special upgrades you can get a weapon as or more powerful than a spirit weapon in a week for much less.
2 - Definitely get a lux bag if you plan to play. It has huge space for equipment and clothing. Other than that, get a normal shop bag from an NPC (8x6 or expiring 8x10), or a devcat or vocaloid 8x6/8x8 bag. There's also unique bags you can get from commerce, like score scroll bags and firewood bags and potion bags. Also if you beat G18 you get a free pet with a player-sized inventory at the end.
3 ~
4 - Dunno' about organizing, but no you cannot rename anything.
5 - Generally yeah. Dragons are on sale right now and the Ice and Bone dragons are the best of the lot, you might want to get one as they very rarely go on sale. Like, a year+ between sales.

2) You got the gist of it. There are also some bags for sale in the commerce shop. For 1 mil you can get a medium bag which is a pretty decent size (5x6) and you can have as many of them as you can fit in your first inventory tab. You can buy a slightly smaller bag (5x5) commonly called Doll Bags or Karakuri Bags from other players. They act like medium bags, so you can have multiple, but you can also summon them for a few hours a day so they can pick up your gold (they are pretty stupid though and sometimes it would be faster for you to get the gold yourself.) All the Doll bags are 5x5 except the Succubus Bag which is 7x7, which is the largest 'as many as you can fit in your inventory' bag. Towards the end of G16 you also get a regular 5x5 bag. Smaller than the ones from commerce and doesn't summon a doll but its free at least. (Be warned, doll bags once opened can only be drop-traded. Be careful not to get scammed.) Check out
this page for a full list of bags and pouches.
3) None that you haven't already done come to mind but so long as you're under total level 1,000, you can talk to Duncan in Tir Chonaill to reset all your skill ranks back to F. So you could use this opportunity to train some skills now and derank them immediately after until you need them again.
4) Unfortunately no, I know how you feel. All you can do is add/remove characters/pets/partners from the Favorites List to make them out of sight.
5) Currently four of the five dragons (2-seater thunder dragon isn't back, but it sucks anyways) are temporarilly back on sale. I'll leave you to research on them. Currently the fastest Land pets are the Scooter and Nimbus/StormyNimbus/RainbowNimbus, while the fastest sky pet is also the Nimbuses. Phoenix and Pegasus/Perseus are a close second in flying and Cheetah is slightly slower than Scooter.

cosmic stallion using boost has the speed equivalent of a scooter using boost, and while flying it (should) be as fast as a phoenix

1. Yes, there are people that still use spirit weapons. New weapons, however, still outclass egos.
2. You can use the regular bags you buy from general shop. Otherwise, bunch of doll bags released in cash shop (not available in shop anymore). Right now, there's Luxury Equipment bag, which helps later on as you use more and more equips. You can also buy the medium sized bags from ducat shops.
3. CP-based skills are arguably easier to train now. Don't worry about cp based skills. Fighter is great early on, but it does fall behind mid game, so keep that in mind. I'd rather focus on str or dex related skills right now if I were you.
4. You can find checkboxes that will only show charcters by race, gender, etc. It's on the top right corner of the screen.
5. Some, yes. For example, you can wait for the Nimbus to come back. Right now, I'd get the bone dragon and the ice dragon. Later, there might be a pet called Flora, pretty much better and cuter version of the Nimbus.

Thanks for your help guys. It seems as though I came in at the wrong time. I knew full well about the Summer Anime and the hot times. Yet I did not log in for those. Even with the shadowy talent even I started late. Right now I have 6 weapon fragments. From what I read, the event ends on the 22nd. Will I have time to complete the event?

You might be a day or two off. Don't worry though, I'm sure other shurikens won't be hard to obtain.

Oh man. Welp.
How would I go about making money? Commerce?

I hunt ancients, dye synthing (you can buy crap flashies, produce random non-flashies to sell), commerce, missions, and recently engineering but that's ass-slow to rank up to the profitable rank (5+, same deal with magic craft).

Alright, cool! What types of armor and weapons should I aim for? How should I upgrade them?
I remember seeing people having like 9k HP. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. How would I best increase my HP and other stats?
How would I best level up my pets?

Probably not unless there's an event extension. But when JP got Ninja, they had this event, then after Ninja's release they had another hot time event that gave the same Shuriken as this event. Not sure if NA will get that same hot time but we might. Either way, there are better shurikens made form Blacksmithing.

Having HP in the multiple thousands is kind of unheard of unless you're in endgame while transformed into paladin/dk/falcon/beast. Untransed, around 900 is more reasonable nowdays, not sure of back then. Personally I'm in the 800s.

Well it's my fault anyway. I knew full well of the hot time and attendance events, yet decided I was not ready to return.
On a side note, what would be the best way to gain exploration exp (safely, without a fire wand and raft)? What would be the best way to train a pet?

Go L-Rodding in Courcle for artifacts. Around Cor there are some monsters but the hardest monster you'll find is a giant centipede. Everything you'll find is in a chest, and its nearby town.
You can also go closer by the river for statues, in which case keep one hand slot an L-Rod and the other hand slot barehanded to gather artifacts barehanded from the statues you find.
There's going to be an Exploration Mastery skill in the Treasure Hunter update which will make non-rafting exploration easier (though personally I still think Rafting is way more efficient), but we're getting Ninja and stuff before that so don't expect it too soon.
Also, there are some daily quests they give exploration experience, check them out
here.
I don't personally train pets but my friend tells me fighting ancients is a good source of experience for pets.

I read somewhere that Thoroughbreds and Eagles are free after completing some quests. Do you get cards or whistles? I never gotten a whistle before. Can you name the pets? I also read that they have limitations, such as no inventories. What other limitations are there?
