  It is both, and in this case, the question isn't whether you are victim blaming, it is, does victim blaming holds any validity, and you guys prove there are a bit. Still I don't think it is appropriate.

  There's many variables to the situation, one variable does not make or define said situation. If someone walks out in front of a car in traffic, clearly we know who is at fault because of the one variable involved. If someone gets raped, there is no one sole variable, there are many, it's called risk reduction. Like carrying mace, or a rape whistle, clothing is the one most picked on due to the most forefront.
  
  If person A got raped and a variable was "suggestive" clothing... I mean, you could have prevented it a ton of ways too "maybe". It really all depends on the situation, as i try to deduce it mathematically. Would i blame them for it? No because doing that solves nothing, especially when rape is mind altering.
  
  Let me ask something, if say, instead if a woman getting raped at an alleyway, all variables included, suggestive clothing, good looking, everyone says nothing, that's fine, it's rape, understandable.
  Guy walks down an alleyway, counting his money after he walks out from the bank, gets robbed. Immediately everyone will call that guy the biggest dumbass in the world for putting the world's biggest target on him.
  Slightly unfair that i compared rape to that, rape as i said usually has more variables. While i quite literally stacked every odd against that poor fellow.
  
  Hopefully my rambling made a point, and if someone accuses me of downplaying or victim blaming, fuck off.

  You are doing a different regression, you want to find people's opinion of victim blaming, and the Y value is different. Mine just indicates whether victim blaming exists. And like I said, yeah you guys made some point that victim blaming holds some validity in this case but there is no denying existence of victim blaming.

  It's still retarded though. The way she dressed didn't do anything to her. But apparently a risk is not a guarantee. Especially in crowds like at that Con, where therefore dressing relatively minimalist wouldn't put you in much danger. Crowds are actually a pretty safe environment. She didn't got a dark side alley all alone being in an alcohol-induced flirtatious mood. There is like nothing here that warrants this discussion really.
