in all honesty, i'd say she should have stayed with her friends or at the convention, not run off
now, it's not her fault that a guy decided to target her, it's her fault that she decided to go off and get drunk

Well, no one targeted her. The guy she had sex with was consensual, it was the same guy she lied about her age to to get the alcohol. He's only in trouble because she was a minor.

Statutory rape is the term for an adult having sex with a minor even if consensual because in the eyes of society a minor is not smart enough to make choices for themselves. Underage drinking isn't actually a crime, it's BUYING alcohol and/or giving alcohol TO a minor that is illegal. So it's a crime for him to give her alcohol, but not for her to drink it. I agree it's pretty stupid. As far as seducing someone goes.. Yeah, there's no law against that. I guess maybe if he gets a good lawyer they might be able to argue entrapment because she lied about her age to get the sex and alcohol.
Are you fucking kidding me?! She had sex with the guy who got arrested?! I have a feeling that isn't the first time she did that. >.> Everything she did wrong is fucking "legal", that's bull!

Let's disregard all forms of common sense so we can "dress how we want". In that case I should go park my car in the ghetto unlocked with the windows open and the key left in the ignition, I'll make sure to leave all the windows and doors to my house open as well.
Or else I'm just living in a bubble.
How does a girl being barely clothed relate to that? Are you say when they're not covered up it's an invitation for people to target and do as they want? cool not that it's her body or anything! Might aswell tell women not to wear a bikini either, since you know it's like leaving everything open to take

are you equating leaving a car out in the "ghetto" to a girl wearing clothing that doesn't cover everything

What I'm saying is irresponsibility will be met with consequences. Try reading my post again and try making the connection.

It's alright if you don't get it. Different people have trouble understanding different things. You can't understand that not every statement is an attack on women's rights, my mom can't understand that there is such a thing as too many cats, and Charlie Sheen can't understand that cocaine is bad. It's normal not to understand some things.

Nah, you're right. You don't have anything to worry about.
Man, some of these arguments are getting pretty dumb. So I'll just say that I personally have no issue with girls wearing skimpy clothing. Do it more, pls. Just maybe not in America, cause.. yeah. European girls, though? By all means. Here's a member of a radical feminist group rushing topless in front of President Putin:

Putin gave her a double thumbs up.
[abandon]I'd do the same.[/abandon]

The guys all look quite pleased in that photo.
And yeah the point about "risk" has been explained as clear as can be in this thread. If people still get butt hurt and think we mean women don't have the right to wear what they want then just too bad, there's not much that can be done to make the point more clear. Maybe some professional linguist could write it out in a more politically correct manner but that's besides the point.

Or you're just too ignorant maybe
And the fact there's a """risk""" on wearing clothes as you wish is kinda sick

Yes, it is. It's fucking horrible.
But it's reality.
Reality sucks.
Welcome to planet earth, the human species are collectively a giant asshole.

This is the truth. No one is saying it's fair or that it's right. We're just saying that's how it is.

It's not the whole species, just a minority ruining it for everyone else. Please don't imply that males are usually rapists. Far from it.
On that note walking around in an erotically suggestive outfit in public is in itself hardly risky, no matter if it's night or not, because you're in public and there are people everywhere. You may get grabbed or something but I don't consider that a danger, lol. The risk lies in leaving public places alone while wearing suggestive clothing. So given the context the way she dressed would've been perfectly fine and non-risky if she had conducted herself accordingly. And of course in the end it didn't do jack shit about what actually happened to her.

Pretty much.
I've heard both sides of the right to wear issue far too many times now and it's become annoying to me.
If an action results in the same consequence consistently, it can be assumed that the output is constant. If ten people dress like bears and all of them get raped, i'll leave my bear costume at home. This is because I utilize my foresight instead of throwing logic out in favor of emotional reaction.
Nobody is to blame but the offender and everybody repeating the dress, rape, debate cycle because our talking about the issue hasn't changed a damn thing to stop it.

I just want to leave how she dresses out of a debate regarding rape. I mean if you say she wears too little during a conversation about women being raped it just sounds like you are saying her cloth is the reason and that comes off as victim blaming.
If you want to talk about girl wearing skimpy cloth in general is displeasing you, do it on a topic that doesn't involve women being raped. That's all I am saying. You guys are flying a plane towards a mountain side and barely avoid it. Just saying, fly it somewhere where your post can't be taken wrongly.
