Reading is not just about reading books, it can be for example reading this Thread/Posts.

All my reading is done on computer screens (or mobile phone).
I can't remember the last time I held paper in my hands like a book or magazine. Do business cards count?
-
Irise wrote on 2014-08-08 01:26
They all cont, I mean you read what it says on the business card right?

Well usually in a social situation if someone asks you "what's the last thing you read" they secretly mean "what's the last paper book you held in your hands to read?".
My answers would look more like: wiki articles, forum posts, chats...
I probably read 2 or 3 times more than a person who just likes to read books all day, but I never touch books. Most people don't understand/accept that.

Well even if they mean it that way, I'd still tell them that I've read this blah de blah de blah. I then say "make your question clearer next time" (to myself)
I've read more book from Kindle than paper back. As of the world now I doubt people are still reading books, in their true form. Most people read it with their devices. Hopefully, there's stil people out there who read books the proper way. I still try to collect books, mostly the limited editions.
I read Manga and Comics, I still prefer to read them paperback than online/device.
The sad part is, those people who reads books all day long have a very boring life. They should at least understand that the world is changing and it's not only revolving about them. What's the use of technology if no one uses them. Also eBooks are way cheaper than the actual book.
It's always about the money, also eBooks don't go out of stack.

I have a subscription to a massive technical library of books through my work, which is pretty awesome as I can find anything I could ever need in there. But personally? I prefer paper. Reading a technical book, which is often not written in the most interesting way, to say the least.. can be a lot more tolerable with real paper. When you're reading something exciting for fun, it may not matter as much. :p

I agree to the extent, but more and more books nowadays are turned into eBooks.
I like the feel of the paper more than techinal books, it's give you more of the I'm reading feel.

I just remembered, I really need to read some Tom Sharpe again some day. His style is quite excellent I dare say.
So far I only remember reading Porterhouse Blue and The Midden. I think i read a third one but I can't remember.

*raises hand*
If it wasn't for taht one Roman history book taht is only available as ebook, I would to this day not consider getting a Kobo something or another competitor. Though I must admit reading books as wide as a PC monitor when opened do not lend themselves to comfortable reading.

HIs books are quite loaded with rather frank language so if you don't like that, you'll miss out on some great unrelenting satire.

It's not bad as mine.
10.30 I have an appointment with my current college.
14.30 I have an interview with another college, this college is 2hrs 30mins away. I worried that I'll be late. I don't know where it is.
Q.Q
Have a good day, enjoy your class. I want to go back to college, I'm hungry for knowledge.
