So wait, they want me to spend 215 AP on a 16 second 20 def boost with a cooldown and no bonus stats?
Please tell me there's more to this and/or I'm reading it wrong.
There's some subskill stuff that isn't translated. It's main use is going to be in the Boss Raids to help fight Gargash. I'd hold judgement until we get all the information pertaining to these.
I'm pushing Teto to have the info ready by end of today. There's a few translations he's missing but we'll address those later so we can get you guys the info.
In the mean time, I ask for your continued patience.

I'm doubtful but the defense bonus could be passive.
Regardless, the skill will be ranked by those who want to grind for the divine knight equipment as it's seemingly the only skill that will stop skills like attracting souls from wiping your party in one hit. The new raid bosses will likely each boast a unique lethal boss attack.
Naturally you should be able to obtain the divine knight equipment by lowballing grinders or spamming gacha.
...
On a related note, you guys should check out
this blog as it contains a ton of information on all of this content.

Yeah from what the icons say, if you put divine experience into the skills you get additonnal effects like move speed, wound recovery, extra hp or healing, etc. It's just a skill that is more tedious to rank than others. xD The only thing I'm really mad about is that they share a cooldown. It makes it useless to rank all of them. Just rank the shield and use more useful skills. xD

Pretty sure you won't be able to do that.
These bosses can throw up a secondary health bar on occasion and you probably can't break it without using divine knight skills.

Ya the Training requirements and what Teto has dug up by closely looking at the pack files show that Knight skills are quite interlinked with these new bosses and play a major role in fighting them.

I'm a fan of this, first update and the new developer did something the previous one didn't, make actual content.

Skill and subskill info can be located in section V. of that thread.

At the beginning, were you inside the lake ??????
What's that all about?
inb4 nexon incorporates swimming into the game.
Also, the whole raid party thing is nice, seems to be the start of something similar to a guild revamp (or at least giving meaning to guilds once again.) But wow, 16 people...how hard could this thing be?

Gargash knocked me clean into the lake with his staff swipe. There's some amusing results from his knockbacks as he can knock you back pretty far.

Wow. I didn't know it was even possible to go in there.
Anyways, this boss looks alpha AF. It's a demon wearing some sort of holy armor about to rain fire on your ass. And he throws you. Woooowwwweeeeee

This is a great video of the raid boss fight set to HARD mode.
Jump to 3:00 and he starts spamming scary skills.

Btw for those of you looking to see how it looks on hard difficulty:

Seems that there's some skills that can instant kill you unless you use the knight skills in a timely fashion. Being lag free is essential for this.

Was just about to mention this xD I'll add that to the OP.

How strong were those guys? Or rather, how much protection did that hardmode boss have?

That's a lot more difficult to figure out unless we look at the pack files, I'll see if Teto found any info related to that in the files.
UPDATE: Had Teto check, no luck on protection but we did find something more based on the tags the Boss has.
Quote from Teto:
So can't be Tamed, Frozen, Petrified. Lullaby has no effect, can't have a Mimic Swallow it or a Crab Bubble it, it won't drop aggro, you can't see it's skills, won't be knocked down, Shock isn't working neither is Raincast, he has no Healthbar above his head, can't be auto finished by pets and has no hitmotion.... also Elemental weapons are useless against him...but there seems to be no protection value D:
Basically this cuts out most cop out methods players might try against him, which is excellent news.
