  You, as someone who claims to have never ignored friends for a SO, don't know what it's like in the POV of someone who does. So, instead you have to make up your own judgement and beliefs on why they would do such a thing, making for a horrible inaccuracy, for the most part.

  Not a personal attack, just an observation (and honestly.. you've proudly told me this yourself). Apologies if it seemed like an attack. And again, for a second (or third?) time: I don't disagree with the fact that a SO will be more important. But if the person outright ignores everyone else, then there's a problem. This should be a simple concept to understand.

  ofc not, but I know what it's like as someone who isn't very talkative with anybody, especially when I'm occupied with other things (a boyfriend especially). These people make horrible and disgusting assumptions about me (which you do about people who ignore you, apparently), and refuse to look outside of their close minded opinion because they take too much offense to being "ignored".

  No, actually, I was kinda giving you the benefit of the doubt there. There should be no need to explain something this basic.
  
  Simply put, ignoring someone is disrespectful and I think few would disagree with the fact that showing someone respect only when you need them is right.

  Someone only wants to talk to you when they need you = someone is using you = fact.
  How you deal with it from that point on, again, depends on the circumstances. If you're okay with people like that, then by all means, keep them around. I usually keep them around because I don't actually care either way and I'm happy to help when I can. At the same time, I have no reason to value these people. Occasionally, my Skype list gets too big, which is a hassle, there being no chat groups. So I do a cleanup for the people I feel I shouldn't keep around anymore.
