If there is a strong enough demand for it. It might. So far most SAO fan liek the "progressive" version a lot more
Wait what is it called? I never knew there was a slower version.

For those saying that the SAO arc being rushed is wasted potential, while I agree with you guys, I would like to remind you that the author actually went ahead and decided to rewrite the entire SAO arc as a different novel serie, taking his time slowly on that one.
I thought Anime usually went more in-depth than Manga? Because 13 Episodes covering 2 years and 75 floors is just total crap. At the very least make it 200 episodes, enough time to show each floor and give some character development for all these characters.

more like the actual Light novel, the first didnt have as much content as the SAO ark of the anime. Lizbet, sillica, the black cat guild(forgot the name), yui, all of those were added as Side stories after the first light novel.

Definitely read the novels! Kirito's POV is hilarious, he likes to put RL things into gaming terms like girls recovering 'emotional points' by eating sweets XD

I would definitely recommend the SAO Light Novel to everyone who liked SAO or was disappointed due to it being rushed(I would recommend Progressive to these people in addition to the main novel). The Novel is translated upto volume 14 which is way ahead of the current anime arc, and I feel the current story in the LN is the best arc yet.

Garbage.
Watched a few episodes and it gave me a headache due to how bad it is.
It's your typical "Main character can do anything and is perfect" shonen anime.
Kirito is the most blandest main character I've seen devoid of any genuine personality.
Also a shameless .hack// ripoff.
Agree in the fact that Kirito is a complete Mary Sue, but it's a million times better than .hack// because unlike that series, it doesn't forget to make the world believable as a video game world. I watched .hack// Legend of the Twilight Bracelet, and after like the first episode, there was nothing in it that referenced the fact that they were supposedly inside an MMO. It was just a fantasy adventure.

That anime is terrible.
Watch .hack//sign and play the original 4 PS2 games. It's the best the series has to offer, everything else is mediocre.

IMO, I just didn't like Kirito's character, I mean I feel that Klein is better terms of character in general.
And I just didn't like how it became like a harem kinda thing where the guy is populated with girls, etc. While Klein is in the corner being friendzoned.
Although I do have to admit I laughed a bit with Klein in the Excaliburn episode when he freed Freya who ended up being Thor, but later on develops a crush on another NPC.

What's really stupid about that is Kirito is quite clearly devoted to one girl, but all these other bitches be following him around even though it's clear they have no chance. Any of them getting close to Kirito would mean destroying the relationship he has with Asuna, who's supposedly their friend.

I totally love Sword Art. Its one of the only anime I've seen that is able to invoke real emotion, and not just "Whoa, that was cool" (although it definitely had that too). MAYBE SPOILER!!! -> It was hard to watch season 2, I HATED Nobuyuki Sugo/Oberon so much I wanted to stab the screen...
Just watched episode 24 of SAO2......:gloom: <- me
