To be fair, they did change the Shakespeare storyline mid-way through due to the complaining of KR players (can't remember if NA was to the Shakespeare arc yet by that time or not).
Yes, but Saga 2 is already finished and done with in KR and thus any changes has already been done and fixed and set in stone. But yes you can tell in G15/G16 that the story switched gears.
NA isn't capable of making major changes to the cutscenes of the storyline so the dialogue changes they can do is rather limited without losing significant meaning in the cutscenes.

I think people are trying to use it during Rock Throw's animation. If not that then they must be clicking through the trees, or missing entirely. Really though, if player's can't do a simple RP mission then actual challenging content is going to be a total combat shock.
If they're doing that, they must be idiots.

The aces had no background prior to Saga II, and correct me if i'm wrong, but they're not even included in the Divine Knight story. A new cast of soon-to-be-forgotten characters will replace them.
IIRC the new director said he didn't like them and talents in general, so he cut them out.
Also, by the end of Saga 2 Episode 2, Starlet, J, and Culinary Artist disappear forever; they never show up ever again during the remaining episodes.

I actually quite enjoyed the lightheartedness and comical aspects of the prologue. It was easy to follow and it made me laugh more than once for sure. Not really any other storyline in the game has done that for me. Merlin may be a jerk but I love him, he cracks me up. I look forward to seeing Treasure Hunter. Honesty though, can't Treasure Hunter and Culinary Artist just have a name?
Hm..I will name the Culinary Artist Oliver (After Jamie Oliver but Jamie doesn't match him so it'll be Oliver) and I shall name the Treasure Hunter Indy (After Indiana Jones) xD
The only thing that bothered me was how hard the boar mission was for me to do because of epic lag. But that is kind of unrelated to the storyline.
I am just going to enjoy this as I have done so far and take it as it comes at me. =w=
They do appear during Merlin's RP in ep5, I believe.
I like the story but I don't like the characters, specifically Merlin and Tarlach.
They could of added more background to the aces before hand[Prologue to the prologue anyone? :)].
I'd also would of liked more story changing decisions like they sort of tried in g15(?), but that's just cause of many choice related games I played recently :P
Though I think it should be ok as long as that child disappears for a long long time :>

That's just merlin's little fantasy/nightmare thingy. That doesn't count.
That boar mission.
I don't know whether or not it was meant to be hard, but I'm finding it near impossible to do, and I'm getting worse with every try.

Here.

I have some advice. To be honest, the factors that were giving me issues was that one, rock throwing will prevent me from moving after I use the action for ~1 second, two, the angle of the camera makes me click a different ladder that I did not intend for, three, the boars can one shot me, and four, lag hurts.
After messing around for a bit I found some solutions.
1. Keep the camera angle low, and perpendicular to the ground.
2. Stand near a ladder before attempting a rock throw.
3. Throw a rock (AND ONLY ONE) to the closest boar, *as far as possible.
4. Get back to the ladder. There should enough time due to distance for you to get back to the ladder.
5. Come back down.
6. Repeat steps 2-5 three times.
7. Find a new boar, and stand next to a latter that is close to the boar. You may want to switch ladders every 2-3 boars depending on spawn location.
8. Repeats step 2-7 until you drive off all the boars.
9. Fight the boss, by alternating smash and defense. Also possible to learn counterattack, but be careful when doing so.
If you follow these steps, it should only take you around ~3 minutes to finish the mission. It's possible with lag, but it'll be a bit harder. As long as you stand close to a ladder when throwing a rock and keeping your distance, you should be fine.
*When I said as far as possible, I meant use the max range that rock throwing will allow while staying as close as you can to a ladder.

As far as saga is going in general, I'm having a good feeling it's going to be horrid this time around. After doing the prologue, and episode 1.. It's boring stale, not even really that challenging at all. Hopefully it starts giving content that actually seems like a challenge.

NOOOOOOOOOO! THEY TOOK OUT THE MINI-GAME AT THE END! WHY!? WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?!
*Ahem*
- More boring errand shit.
- That story about "Merlin beating up the bear"... I just want to puke. Good thing Culinary Artist corrected the story by saying "Merlin lied and the Bear lived happily ever after", but that doesn't change my feelings.
- BYE BYE CHEF! Hey wait, why don't you fly us all to Dunbarton?!
- Random Neid is random. Merlin gets his "cool". ...Puking incoming. Or better yet Tarlach should sneeze on him. >.>
- Kristell's reaction to Tarlach was far less dramatic than I hoped, but expected. She just says Tarlach got lost when he gets in Dunbarton not bringing up anything about "he seems familiar" along the lines, and later she laments that they haven't seen each other in so long. Kind of dull, really.
- Ruairi talking to Young Tarlach was probably the only thing that interested me. A little heartfelt moment where Ruairi chats up the kid a bit and Tarlach feels at very unease with him.
- Seriously, how do heroes lose a package? At this point they all look like bad role models.
- How did I, who Saved the Goddess + the Savior of Erinn + countless titles, stoop so low to community service?!
- Starlet doesn't want to play in a concert? How ironic. I know it gets explained in Episode 2 though.
- HOW DO I SUCK AT MUSIC PLAYING?! I'M FUCKING RANK 1 IN ALL BARD SKILLS! GET OFF THE STAGE MERLIN, J!

Saga 2 is a joke so far. I think the trash collecting shit is where the story direction truly jumped the shark for me. And yeah, I noticed that Kristell didn't seem to give much of a shit about Tarlach.
Ruairi is an awesome character as usual but he has like 10 secs of screentime so he can't save this trainwreck.
They need to fire EVERYONE on the story team and bring back the C3 writers.

Those quests gave a decent amount of gold for to say you weren't really doing anything.

It's pretty funny being reminded how bad you are at the ace's abilities when you're mastered all of them.

Other than the trash collecting part, I thought this episode was enjoyable. Both the prologue and episode 1 made me laugh, especially with merlin's personality. Lol.
