Some info on me right now: Human, I started archery about a week ago. I have around ~300-330? Dex on tailor talent (~lvl 60) Using a shadow hunter spike wing bow 3/5 upgraded and basically shooting things with my RKA off.
Skill set (off top of my head):
Ranged attack r1
Magnum r5
AR r4
bowmastery rE?
Crash shot rE (just got it :c)
support shot rF
refine r1
weaving rE (in progress)
Sheep Shearing rE?
tailor,handicraft ,metallurgy rF
So...
what bow should I be using? If the legendary lucky upgrade stone exists, what bow do I R5?
Should I even touch support shot? What does it do besides help lancers smash harder?
Does AR and ranged attack have different damage?(dunno how to reword this lol)
Should I rank light armor mastery if I decide and/or get lucky (from bingo event) and obtain royal diamond leather armor?
Any helpful response appreciate, ty~
feel free to add/give any advice.

Alright so, first things first, I aint no archer, I'm just going to answer based on my current understanding of archery..
If you're looking to special upgrade a bow; I'd say a Highlander Longbow would be the best for most people, unless you can afford a bhafel. The more ideal bow for someone who has less than 700 max damage with a bow is a BDK from what I've read in another thread. A Ring Bow ego is pretty nice as well..
Don't quote me on this, but I remember being told that Support Shot can increase the damage of Magnum Shot, if done fast enough? I'm not sure of this.
According to the wiki, this is the damage % increase per arrow for AR:
I'm assuming Ranged Attack is 100% damage, so in total I'd say, in a round of 5 arrows, AR would have better DPS than Ranged Attack given that no crits take place
I guess, why not.. Since as an archer, its really either light armor or clothing due to the dex cut of heavy armor, I'd rank it just for the extra protection when you fight..

An archer with 1k~1.1k dex right here. Clearly not the best, but I do know what I'm talking about.
For bows, there's really only one practical bow to use for long term, and that is a Highlander Long Bow. Up to about mid-high 600 max, BDK bow will serve you better, but with good enough set up, passing that limit isn't really hard. I suggest you stay away from demonic bow, since if you're going to go ham on bows, you might as well just get the Bhafel Combo.
And support shot does NOT increase magnum shot damage, under any circumstances. It increases anything that is considered a melee attack, like flash launcher. It is however, very underrated and useful skill. Why? It can make you do 15k+ bow windmill. Or you could just support shot and lance smash the mob yourself for lulzy damage. Fun fact: bohemian support shot bonus + smash will out damage thames set bonus. Even if the skill were not useful, you should still rank it for the sniper title. There are only two titles archers should be using, and those are sniper and blood master.
And yes, arrow revolver and ranged attack are different damage. Consider arrow revolver as 5 rounds of empowered regular attacks.
Ranking light armor mastery is fine, but you shouldn't be using Royal Diamond Leather Armor.
1. Do these things come pre-enchanted? Some do, but it's Special Monster, not very good enchants. You're better off buying Quartz Pitch Black Linen Cuirass from other players.
2. Does it have set effect? No.
3. What are good enchanting options? You can put Boiling Champion on it, but if you're going to go that far with enchants, might as well make a Languhiris chaser armor and put the enchants there, or just get Encore Champion Gamyu armor.
The leather armor gives no other merit than fashion really. You could argue for defense, but defense is pretty meaningless, and even if it were any significant, there's always a better option.

so im expected to have something like an ele bdk to do good damage at the 600 dex mark? Is that the point where bdk surpasses an R5 hlb (assuming i get one)? :o
for armor, im probably not gonna get encore anything cause i lack the ap so im really far from making encore es useful but you say enchanting a gamyu is pretty decent but isn't that the same as enchanting a royal diamond? Also the linen is just so ugly Dx but i might wear that temporarily.
seeing that champion es requires ct rank 1 im guessing i should rank that too shouldn't i? :c
also, new question, how come crash shot aims so slowly T__T i know im low ranked but does it get better?

There's some endgame optimal stuff in there, but looking at just getting some stuff for effectiveness right now, I would recommend putting together a bohemian set.. because it's fairly cheap and you get a really nice damage bonus off it for magnum. Also, the pieces are fairly replaceable if you wanna just buy a few to blow up with enchants.
As for enchants, you can worry about some of the ones listed later on, because a lot of them require skill ranks you're not gonna get to for months. Your biggest priority atm is your base skills.. basically, you should be doing what's required for Sniper title. Small ap lifeskills whenever is fine tho (like weaving). These are annoying so I definitely encourage doing them whenever you actually feel like sitting and doing them lol.
A lot of the most effective enchants on a bohemian set (encore, solo) require a lot of bard skills, so you might wanna look into that as a secondary skillset. If you don't have a bard in the group of friends you play with, being able to throw out a random battlefield helps a lot. Plus, playing instrument and song give decent dex.
As for bow, for a while you're probably gonna get the most for the cheapest out of a BDK bow. Especially if you get into reforging, since you can get them with r1 reforge. There's some HLBs around still like that but not quite as common.

You don't have to get BDK bow, but at 600 mark, BDK bow is the best. And actually, it's the other way around, R5 HLB surpasses BDK bow at mid 600 damage.
For armor... first of all, reason Encore Champion Gamyu is recommended is only because gamyu is the only armor that can receive Encore. Encore is a clothing enchant, but Gamyu is an exception. So no, it's not the same. As for linen... deal with it. You can have a robe to cover it up, or you can just get fashion tab. Not very hard choice. Or better option would be to get bohemian set for better magnum shot damage, or even support shot buff.
And yes, you should rank counterattack to rank 1, not just for the enchant, but for the dex.
And for crash shot... it's one of those skills that don't get aiming speed bonus from ranged attack. It's not gonna get much better, suck it up and rank it.

archery is a cruel cruel skillset T__T...

Technically you don't need support shot for this, but that being said support shot would just make that initial 15k even higher lol

if by S you mean blue then no. I also wouldn't buy it even if it was red upgraded but not rank 1 (maybe 2 if you feel lucky enough to get at least double ele 4/3) reforged.
bow enchants: typically glorious fancy. Neither literally blow up.

Yeah, I'm aware people can hit much higher. I don't think majority of the population can even hit 10k windmill though.
And yeah, don't sell your bow for that much.
As for spider shot, it's one of the skills I'd rank last. It's a heavy-ap skill with not much dex like crash shot gives. Not really worth.
Innocent is a good option for light armor if you don't want to risk blowing up armors with r5 enchants.
As for bow, I'd say the most solid option is Lion Hunter's Fancy.

Yep forgot about lion hunter's. Always do. It's a really good enchant

so should i ditch this ugly thing
[Image: http://puu.sh/cLB9B.jpg]
and try to get a lion hunter's fancy hlb or put it over the wing bow (i might try to special upgrade the chosen one later on)?

1. Spider Shot sucks. Rank it for the dexterity.
2. Innocent is decent but Light Armor sucks.
3. Swift/Thorn Lotus, Shadow Hunter (anything else comes with stupidly high repair modifiers)
4. Your friend ruined that highlander bow. Ranged weapons should be R-Type.
Try to get your hands on a pre-reforged 1 Rank ranged weapon. Preferably one with Elemental 5+

No, these enchants are even better.
I only mentioned lion hunter's fancy because they're relatively easy to get, but I forgot about how shadow hunter spike bows were pooped out from gachas.

Of what you have, whichever one gives the most max damage (I dunno off the top of my head). Beyond that, something like hamlet or portia titles are nice (15 and 12 max).. there's also the newer titles in the current gacha that are more max, if you can afford to spend more money. (15-20 max)
