Max Firebolt Damage you ever got?

So lately I've been wondering about high I can get with firebolt.

So atm I have 1234 Int, 364 Magic Attack, 90 Damage Fire Wand Ego, and 24 Max Firebolt Damage Reforge

without Overture I was doing 18k crits, with overature I was dealing 20k crits (nearing 21k crits) on Hard Shadow Mission Mobs.

I still see room for improvement, guess my current goal is to see 25k crit firebolts. What's the highest crit firebolt you guys have seen or gotten and what kind of stats/gear/mob were you using at the time

Highest I've hit was 30k on rats with buffs and all, no reforges tho.

I think firebolt is terrible and will probably never care to make it any stronger, but with an ego as good as yours and dmg enchants/magic attack you could easily do 30k+ on bears with just a singing bfo. Doesn't really matter what you do on HM mobs since even a 15k firebolt already does the job just the same, so it's all really about looking at pretty numbers on bears.

Casting speed will probably give way better DPS than firebolt 25 if for whatever reason you really have no other option than to use firebolt in challenging content though.

Well right now, just looking at how high of a number I can get on Hard and Elite mobs, unsure why, I just want to see the potential for it. I mostly do gunner for the most part and only use firebolt spam for things I need more control over like Offering which requires you to get them in the circle and firebolt + Lullaby does a superb job at accomplishing that

and 29% Overture I was getting 26k crit max on those same bears. What % Overture did you have?

Update: With 43% Overature I did 27400 crit and 383 magic attack. I give up on this, seems that the gain is a lot harder to obtain once you reach a certain point

Don't think I can post images yet, but just tested on bears with 46~86 max ego, matk 17, 330 matk with 971 int, 33.4% overture, and hebona set, managed to break 20k crit on regular bears. part time Great mage ftw

Well even with food buffs and a Playing Instrument Effect 20 on an Inspiring Performance I was only able to get like 29k crit on a Burgundy Bear :(

It seems that there is quite the limit and past that it becomes exponentially harder to reach higher numbers.

I think that was with 37% Overature, 1500int, 24 max firebolt reforge, 92 damage ego wand (see above) and like 426 magic attack.

Spent enough time and effort trying to raise it and I think I've hit a ceiling where this is concerned.

Either way, you can't really use % of overture as a guideline. Someone with 200 STR and barely any melee damage isn't gonna get crap from a 50% overture, while someone with capped STR and high character screen dmg with a wand is gonna get a decent boost even with a singing overture.

No max damage enchants whatsoever
10k normal and 25k crit on 38% Combo Card against Plateau Wild Boars.

11k normal and 27k crit with 25% Battlefield Overture running off 330 melee damage with wand (really unless you have like 1000 str and probably even then don't use overture with Firebolt, use Vivace if it can AT ALL be helped.)

Maybe I'll food myself up to 1500 int just to test.

Just so you know bone chip does nothing to fire bolt. It is just bfo that adds to firebolt damage, I have no clue why but yah you can test firebolt with only bfo and only bone chip for yourself if you don't believe.

Actually Bone Chip does have an effect on firebolt. I noticed a bit of a difference when I used a Weapon Power Potion. I'm not sure if it's due to how fire wand ego's work though or if normal firebolt with a non ego wand. Anyways, I finally broke 30k firebolt myself and didn't employ Juliet's Feelings, Magic Power Potion, or Catered Food. Here is what I had:

43.94% Overature
20 Bolt Mastery Reforge
25 Firebolt Max Reforge (Wand + Accessory)
390 Magic Attack
92 Max Damage Ego
Weapon Power Potion

I'm pretty sure it would effect it if max dmge effects firebolt, i will check it out later I guess
