Teach a noob how to pvp

  I just don't like it. I remember I saw my friend got harassed just for asking a nearby RA for help then a trriplet of "girls" walked up to her and told her to leave the said RA alone because he is "her" "gramps".
  My friend, being a passive as she is tried to explain that she was just seeking an RA who was actually on and not AFK for help in her G10, she wasn't even 300 at that time, but instead of listening the 2 out of 3 girls challenged her to a duel and they set it to 100%.
  The first one immediately used Final Hit, my friend immediately lost since her counter load time took too long (rD whoo). When the duel ended the victor "spat" on her face by calling her a gold digging slut, etc. Then one of the "girls" forced my friend into duel by going the same harassment tactic. Before the second duel started my friend was trying use her heal and pots when the 2nd "girl" who wanted the duel kept spamming her the request that it made it almost crashed and when the duel finally started the 2nd chick immediately used AR. When the second duel was over she mocked my friend for being dumb because she didn't use charge. My friend didn't even had charge that time...2 out of 3 "girls" spatted on my friend while the last one healed her and apologized for her friends' behavior and explains why "everyone" must comply to her "needs" because she has "depression" (depression my ass, she verbally tortured my friend who has a Down's).
  
  Since then I disliked duels because there are no rules or etiquette when it comes to shedding a lil blood.

  That being said I have a few tips:
  1. Understand the defense skill. When you use it you are limited to walking speed. However, just because your opponent is walking doesn't mean they are using defense. If you hold shift and move simultaneously, you can limit your speed to walking to appear as if you are using defense. Use this to your advantage.
  2. Fighter is the highest single-target damaging skillset so it excels in PvP. The best way to stop a combo is to windmill as soon as the somersault kick is over in order to avoid pummel. Pummel will pretty much finish you off if you are still alive.

Gone are days when your questions are answered in a fair and logical manner only to be replaced by comments that would evolved into ad hominem arguments.
  
  May I suggest to everyone (myself included), that if you have nothing constructive to say pertaining to the topic at hand to please keep your own counsel. Afterall, it is "better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt."

  If the only way to win something that you cant overcome is to not play then everyone should have stopped playing when they died by the hands of bosses in dungeons or generation quests.

  Questioning one's motive to PvP can elicit a better response from me.
  Playing for fun? Oh just use standard melee and range skills.
  Out for blood? Use everything in your arsenal.
  Playing tourny style? Ask your local pvp aficionados.
  
  Personally. I use cheap tactics like frozen blast. My old guild leader 3 years ago was so damn good at pvp he wouldnt even let me get close to him at all. My cheap tactics back then wouldnt work. Then again he was the best on our server PvP wise.

  When you talk about playing cheap and dirty over reasons such as lag, I can't help but imagine a baby throwing a tantrum for things not going his way. "Waaahh I can't win without playing dirttyyy! Waaah but I leveled this skill! SOMEBODY CALL THE WAAAAAAMBULANCCEEE!"
  
  Better yet, you sound like if you were a boxing sparring match, you'd kick your opponent in the groin and then say "I didn't grow legs to not use them."
  
  Get over yourself and learn to not be such a buzzkill when someone wants to play fair against you.

  my tip was not to do pvp and do other stuff in mabi
  pvp doesn't really do anything that's worthwhile anyway, unlike in other mmos where pvp can get you some good items

  1. It was a joke, lighten up.
  2. Boxing matches are designed to be fair, also regulated by rules and regulations. Mabi is not.
  3. If someone approaches me and insists I must duel, I will duel how I want to. Stop duel requesting me then.
  4. Bringing real life into an argument is terrible. Don't do that again. By that logic we should all get banned anytime we use mods in duels since that is cheating.
  5. Lag is a thing. Stop that.
  6. Pragmatism is rewarded.
  
  After typing this post, i realized something, PvP has as much importance to the devs as dice tossing, considering that since they introduced PvP, nothing has come of it. Were rankings ever added? Was the guild battle title glitch fixed? Was anything done to PvP at all within the past several gens? All PvP in this game is player generated rules with devcat toggling a switch enabling it. No content whatsoever except the guild battle which is hilariously inbalanced and outdated with their view distance.
  
  So when some players answer seriously and some answer don't do it. There's a good reason for it. No offense to anyone, but damn. When people get all defensive at me over terribly implemented content, I draw a line.

  Be a giant and use Martial Arts (Fighter) if want the most out of it. Strong/decent Fire bolt also hurts in PvP,so that could be your secondary weapon.If you're human or elf archery works fine with Martial Arts..or Fighter/Lance because their really strong 1v1 weapons. Anddd... yea that's thee PvP meta I guess. Guns are ok in PvP, long as their not abused (spamming normal shots or wotg more than 2-3clicks).
  
  
  Edit/Oh um.ninja and fighter work I guess.but in my opinion..my honest opinion.Martial Arts and Ninjutsu runs kinda clunky..but still useful I guess.

  Wait. Double smash is ping related? Always thought it was the random 50/50 chance like how normal attack does it.
