So, apparently I've purchased Persona Q from GameStop and have already started playing it. But then my cousin had already bought Persona Q for me for Christmas (late). I'm not really interested in keeping two copies of Persona Q- is it possible for me to use my own receipt to return the Persona Q copy my cousin gave me?
It sounds really douche-y returning the game but I just want to exchange it for Super Smash Bros and Fantasy Life.

If the game is open they won't let you return it. Even if it isn't open most gamestops I've been too won't let you return it, and the 1-2 that do only let you get store credit. But if all you want is store credit to buy other games then you should be fine.

Why don't you approach them, explain your situation, bring both copies and receipts as proof? Gamestop does ahve a basic notion of customer service, yes? Or why not return your cousin's present with his recipe? Don't think he'll be upset.

Nope. At least not in the ones I've been to. Lol.

On top of their shitty service, the moment I step in, I receive glares. Oh no, a female!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But Cow, I would definitely try. If things don't work out, you can always sell it on eBay or something.[/FONT]

Try it. My friend has bought Halo before when it was new and returned it and got a different game.

My cousin lives far away and I don't want to bother them just for the receipt. Would prefer to try and solve this without involving him.

Ooooh it's form that game? :O Oh I recognise her now.
Too bad it was only released for the PSV. I want it so badly.

There's also an anime about it, although the anime is extremely fast, the mystery/clue gathering is thrown a bit to the wind because the entire game was forced into 12 episodes
