Barely need pots as is, needing them even less isn't really gonna make much of a difference.
And the other skill just sounds like shockwave 2.0.
Where are the temporary 400% damage hailtorms or INT magic chaincast that would actually make the update on par with the final hit buff.

Are they fucking dumb and pulling shit out of their asses again?! This is going to end worse than FH 400%.
Uhm no? It's going to be the same as just chugging potions in that timeframe, just now not with potions. I don't see how that compares to a damage buff.

Well, it may not be as you guys think. Unless you're blazing MA 24/7, mages tend to use a LOT more pots, compared to other talents, even with meditation. The new skill essentially removes the excess MP usage from magic, although, the typical mage won't have indefinite mana when a lot of us use CC+4 firebolt as our main 1v1 skill.
Meditation is useless for anyone past mid-game, because it makes hybriding nearly impossible.

I know, right?

I always hoped we'd get a chaincast similar to More's one day :(
Probably a good point to insert the obligatory Reminder that what goes in the Test Server may not be what comes Out of the test server and that they've not announced this as the end of the Magic tinkering yet.

MP is just a monetary benefit; it doesn't really effect the meta. It's pretty nice for MS though.

I tend to use magic a lot, and I know it uses a notable amount of mp, including if you stack it with mana shield since you can be like me and lazy to get any def/prot. Sure the skill isn't a perfect creation, and meditation was always irrelevant for me[I'd rather chug a potion or ,after this if it stays a good amount, now just use the new skill every once in a while]. Although I did use meditation those one times I wanted to save a little mp; mana crystalizing, or rafting, etc.
Either way the skill is subject to change, it is just barely on the test server.

Chances are they're going to make building damage as a mage have a side effect of increasing mana consumption even more than just on chaincast wands.

I prefer they don't, in comparison to Stam/Damage < Mana/Damage
But I could be drunk, I only use stamina for those often counters/defends and spell walk.

To be honest... I would rather see them uncap meditation to r1 and uncap mana shield to r1 before slapping on Mana Recover skill.
It'd make more sense for a Magic Renovation update.
Anyway.. moving on to Lightning Rod skill... where is the skill video for that? D:

I'm not a pure mage, but 30% mana reduction from int not enough? You're all FINE with 50% instant mp regain per 3 minutes?!
This is basically making Meditation irrelevant.

The second one isn't Mana Recovery?

I think you have to be wielding a staff to use it, if that makes it any better :p

- Ctrl + Left Click Staff
- Uses Mana Recovery
- Ctrl + Left Click whatever weapon I had earlier
- Done
That option made things a lot easier.

Oh right, aside from asking for a video with Lightning Rod.
Anyone know the magic coefficient with Lightning Rod, as in.. how much does it increase per 1 magic attack and so on?
