I'm going to have to side with tropa here. It's cool that they worked hard to kill him in 14 seconds, but where do you go from there? The content has been invalidated like MA or SMs, nothing but going through the motions. I get that most people can't do this, but are they supposed to ceaselessly grind these skills to ruin their gameplay experience? A lot of us have done that already over the years, and it gets old if you ask me.

The new title is nice but it's a shame that it expires.
Does Mari have only 16-20 raiders like Ruairi does or do people actually have to fight for spots?

Only if we could do the same in Alexina... >;
Not enough dedicated players. Otherwise... Lol at those people complaining that Mabinogi is boring because there's no challenge nowadays... Kinda what you get when you played for many years and have nearly maxed out for everything.

Set yourself up with some limits to make the content challenging instead of sitting here and complain, like I've told people that complained about no challenges and so on.
I have been playing Mabinogi for a very long time... Longer than most of players, and I still find Mabinogi very enjoyable.

Soloed SS elite with npc weapons, naked, no pets, no titles. I totally enjoyed it

Where? By continue to grind out more Crusader levels because it isn't maxed out yet. For people who already maxed everything, Crusader levels and ranking Crusader subskills are the only thing left in terms of character development until the next skills comes out.
It is a filler of sorts for those people between more skills being released.

Ha! You don't know what limitations I set myself to , and still run things over. I don't use stun-pets *unless my character is near dead and getting swarmed, then just one as a breaker* And I don't use Lance or Fighter. Lightning bolt,Dual-Guns and Dual Swords only, both un-enchanted , just r-type upgrades with bad gear. It's literally combo or die, for me at least. Oh and I don't do Puppeteer.
I to played mabi for along time, since G1 (since I was waaaay into maple to try mabi's beta) and I can tell you now, you can still enjoy mabi, notices its issues and offer good constructive criticism. How do you grow without that?

Where they go from there isn't for you to decide.
Where are you now and where are you trying to go?

Accurate. Challenge is needed but only alongside appropriate rewards.

I also continue to find Mabinogi enjoyable but that won't stop me from sympathizing with people who no longer find it enjoyable. I don't like the idea of imposing restrictions as that directly conflicts with the concept of character progression, which is a pivotal aspect of Mabinogi. It works for some games but not MMOs.

Eh, I'm bored and since its day two, might as well answer a few questions.
Firstly, Yes, Just about half the party is highly leveled, over 10k. Several of which are reforged very well, except girg tends to not give a damn about reforges. Considering elemental doesn't work, the main tool for a blader is a Lance, and for an elf, it is Bhafel combo or Guns. (Later the new xbow will change things, but that's later). Yes, guns, deeps, I'm all for that, but Girg doesn't seem to be so much. In HM, two or three phealers(depending on reforges) for standard contagion worked okay. Yeah, this ain't the case. In VHM, I'd damn near recommend four myself, and I've got a cast speed reforge on my wand. His Contagion not only is double the size, but deals 15% ticks even faster. I found myself dead in under three seconds due to a girgbaby slapping me and a single contagion. The standard time for hardmode's smiting time is about three seconds. VHM Is about 1.5. There's little to no room for error, though the spikers have about the same amount of time. Additionally, None of the bladers are at level 75 Crusader yet, close, but there's still room for improvement in blade's inherent damage, permitting that the insane requirements for Breaking Lies are hurdled.
In Mari, there's been another consistent nightly hardmode party running on another channel. Normally their hardmode runs were anywhere from 13~25 minutes, depending on if they devoted more to windmill spam or doing the crusader combo. I do not know if they broke 10 minutes, as I haven't been paying attention myself to the raids as a whole lately, focusing on other things. They attempted with a makeshift motley crew in the afternoon today(nexonland), and it was a mess. I'd have to see with a greater amount of the higher-ends, but doing windmill spam can be much less successful, as you have to have a pair of people take out the Girgashiy Fledgelings. Each has about 100k hp and their staff bash is hardmode-level. Mapping his AI's gonna be a complete pain due to how stupid annoying they made him, but the main issue is keeping the summons off without screwing his AI, since spin2win ironically works wonders on the summons. His summons start at 90%, and I was dead before Soul Assumption hit, so I didn't get a glimpse of how strong that barrier is.
Oddly enough, his crystals(imprisonment) don't seem to be as deadly as HM, but they're exceedingly bulky, having around 5~7k hp. His staff bash deals ~600 damage with giant lion levels of wounding. Also, if one doesn't obliterate him to begin with, and takes the normal route, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES, should he be let to toss anybody. He was allowed to toss through wm spam and all damage stopped. It was a steady drop before that, but I'd almost stake that his Fanaticism makes him nigh immortal. Its different as well, having 45 ticks, but for some odd reason even though he was hit more than that, he only took 10 points off, so it could be an even more insane hoop. Plus, remember: Fanaticism increases Defensive, Speed and Offensive. He was already hitting 600s, so my guess is that he'd 1shot with his staff bash, and I shudder to think if they made that Lethal (Fanaticism's toss ignores deadly iirc, if it reduces you to 0, you are dead.) All of his summons are immune to everything but melee, the boars move at .4, about twice zombie walking speed, but the wolves move at about 5.0, far faster than anything. They both hit like trucks, a smash able to hit 1k uncrit on an armored no shield target. The wolves are a lot more fox AI than wolf, so windmill spam can kick them off and keep them off.
Fun Fact: Yesterday there were about 6 runs, today there were about 12. Both ended up in 3 successes. Even with the insane amount of blade damage, a few able to take off 20% on a crit, a few hit like kittens, doing 2%. Generally if he's over 40%, the party bails and tries again, as risking his sheer power without critcheesing it isn't worth it. And yes, there are better methods to getting exp/gold, but these are mainly for the Apostle materials, the enchants, the title (which I will figure out if it disables once I am unable to attend the VHM raids once more next week due to school), and [S]fun.[/S] I do not know about you folks what's fun for you, but doing things on this game and conversing is plenty for me. I lost a lot of interest in my numbers getting higher and my deeps getting faster, so I mainly just devote towards it without a second thought, and think more about being on this game rather than beating it.
Kudos to Jiuhin for spotting the HP of the girgs, when spawns start, and for a good part of the info on Girgashiy. Only info that I spotted myself and unsure if others made note of it are the speed of the mobs, the strength of the staff bashes for Girgashiy & his babbys, a few of the mechanics on Fanaticism, and the crystals (which Jiuhin did spot). Otherwise, Jiuhin's been Master of the Raid, doing much work on figuring as much about girg as possible.

Oh I know lol In some games, players actually earn good rewards depending on how well they do, or something of that nature

I would be more happy with VH Girgashiy if I didn't know that the Staves/Wands/Enchants in the Renovation update made the Original Sin Staff and it's enchant lower.
Maybe there's something in the other VH Girgashiy enchants and weaponry though.

No fence with some of you guys, but I don't really get some of you guys complaining about Mabinogi right now. If you guys really wanted a challenge, then maybe Mabi isn't for you.
