Ah, looks like they recently announced Closed Beta for October 30th, except it starts out as a pay2play package.
Just wondering, how much content does KR B&S have currently?

Last time I checked (which was like a couple years ago) it was enough content to keep u busy for probably a few months. The one thing im really worried about that JP version did that I thought was honestly not a good idea is that they release content very slowly and start at a very old starting point. JP version had the cap at 36 or so when it was first released and had very little content in comparison to CN and KR when those versions had been out for years already. I mean I understand you dont want to overwhelm the player and not everyone has played the other versions, but those versions have been released for a really long time and were very far in terms of content, not to mention the CN version had no IP block (that I could remember). Regardless, I'm worried NA will make the same mistake JP made and it will cause the starting population to decline rapidly (because honestly when JP was first released it had enough content to keep u busy for a couple weeks).
And I believe you can still receive closed beta access from being a newsletter subscriber (by luck). I received an email a while ago stating I had a chance to get a closed beta access key because I was subscribed to the newsletter (even though I had purchased a founder pack anyways).

My hype for this game has died a few years ago.

You should totally give me the key :D....
edit: Did you purchase founders pack? Seems like they are only sending keys out to people who purchased the founders.

Ah did you buy it pretty early? Seems like people who bought it even 2 months ago didn't get in. I have yet to purchase founders.

I bought it pretty close to the release day i think.
EDIT: I was able to play a bit of the alpha on my crappy laptop. Seems they didnt censor alot like cn and i think they will at least release the large raid on full release from wat i can see from loading screens. For founder pack owners im a bit worried about the packages u receive since you get the items even during the alpha and the time on premium service starts ticking from alpha as well... I really hope they reset timers and items received from founder packages on full release and dont just delete them and fk u over... I doubt they will screw people over but this is ncsoft were talking about...

Got to level 41 during 2nd alpha weekend. Seems that was the last alpha till beta so rip, and anything u did during alpha will carry over to beta. Wipe wont happen until official launch. Some fun tidbits, for blade master (which is what I leveled) they fixed blade stance (which is basically the flying sword stance) and gave it a buff from before it was removed long ago. I'm not sure when it was readded but it makes it much more interesting to play a blade master having the one aspect of it I really wanted when I first played it.
From what I can see for how long I played, it seems that they adopted the high cost of evolving and breakthrough that CN had but did not introduce the rng aspect of potentially failing breakthrough or evolves (at least I never failed one), which is nice and bad at the same time. This game will be very pay2win as they put most of the upgrade materials in the cash shop and put in a gold buying feature in game. The cash shop has some very broken things in it basically allowing you to solo anything given enough cash, which is a bit disappointing but expected considering its ncsoft.
The latency was good at least on my end, my attacks were at least 3x faster than on CN and JP and I wasnt even using WTFast, however I am almost right next to the server so that could be a reason behind it. It seems they changed up some parts of the UI and made it a bit better looking since the last time I played which is nice as well. They did not adopt the temporary outfits that JP had for the wheel of forutne's u do for field bosses which is also nice. I didn't get into the crafting or gathering aspect of it while I played, but it is a very good idea to do so if you would like an easier time evolving items, or getting specific quest items that cost a lot of money. From what I saw the NA server has many more people interested in pvp than CN or JP did but ofc this is NA and that was expected, however this brings the issue of doing dailies for your faction since you probably wont be able to do them in peace very easily. They removed the different forms of foods for each level and different forms of recover potions for each level and just made 1 universal version of food and potion that recovered a % of hp over time on use instead of a certain amount of hp which makes having to worry about which food you have non existent and nice.
Thats about all I can think of off the top of my head, if anyone still cares about any of this or has any questions about the game you can ask in here and I can try to answer to the best of my knowledge.

Disappointing. I was really hoping it wouldn't have MapleStory level P2W. Thanks for the detailed info I'll probably pass now.

It is just alpha so its possible they might remove some of the upgrade items or something on official launch (but probably not). It's possible they just wanted people who had bought founder packs to have easier time during alpha to mess around with cash shop and see how it played out but idk.

They will have a way for you to buy gems using gold, similar to like Skyforge and GW2. Then again, all the f2p mmorpgs are p2w. Otherwise, people won't really pay money for them.
Complaining about p2w only really matters if you are going to be the top tier of players. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter since there are so much players a lot better than you.
