Game is relatively simple, we theorize and whatnot about the plotholes and we fill them up. Okay, go.
Morgant is still alive and the Lugh of g16 was fake.
P.S. I don't think anyone could explain the python knight or who was it being a deer.

Everyone's solution to G16 Lugh is that "he's fake".
- Saga 1 Sidestory, "Tuatha de Danann's DON'T AGE (at all)" - Nexon derp.
- Saga 2 Episode 1, Merlin losing church donation package and being victimized over it DESPITE J specifically saying he carried it. - Uh... J used alchemy to brainwash him?
I'm too tired to remember most of the plot holes anymore. :/

G9~12 had the best story. I wish that they had kept the plot moving in that direction.
Shakespeare and Saga just fucked everything up. I can't even begin to comprehend that bullshit.

Theory or speculation? If speculation, here are some trains of thought:
- Cessair's Heart's and Macha's Resemblance
- Morgant is not Lugh Lavada/Morgant is Lugh Lavada but not G16 Lugh
- Reason for Plot Hole: When we last see Morgant, he claims "The moment God enters the picture of the humans in the name of goodness and justice...you will run into me again," which some argue is and isn't the case in G16. Morgant never claims nor denies being Lugh Lavada (might be wrong on this).
- Explanation: Fact, Morgant gave Ruairi a sword, which Ruairi believed to be the Pragarah, and because of that assumed Morgant was Lugh. Morgant didn't respond(?) He never said he is Lugh. Speculation, others mistaking him for Lugh wouldn't harm him if he in fact is not Lugh. Fact, Lugh Lavada left humanity after humanity cut down the Mother Tree, the sacred tree of the Imps in Fiodh Forest, the one thing he told them not to do. He left humanity, and went into the Fiodh Forest. Later, the Imps joined alliance with the Fomors so to have allies against Humanity (sounds a bit like the Gnolls in Vindictus).
Fact, in G9, Fallon also claimed to have met with the Knight of Light, but in the form of the Dark Lord. Speculation, if Ruairi is indeed mistaken, it is possible Fallon has too, because lord knows like Ruairi, Fallon is a massive idiot. Fact, in G16 a figure claiming to be Lugh returns along with the character Bella. Bella is known to be a corrupter, able to control minds. This Lugh claims to be distraught over his late daughter Triona. Cichol shows what is supposedly Triona's gravestone to Shakespeare. Also fact, the so called Pragarah Lugh wields in this generation doesn't at all resemble previous supposed depictions of the Pragarah.
Speculation, this Lugh is the real Lugh but is not the Dark Lord and had no attachment to Triona and might've not even known who she was, until Bella came and messed with his mind. It's also possible Morgant really is Lugh, and this man is just a regular person put into a psychosis by Bella. It is also possible neither this man nor Morgant is Lugh Lavada. Motive? Morrighan wanted to lure the Milletian in. She knows that we think Morgant is Lugh and that by attachment Triona is Lugh's daughter. She created, with the help of her underling Bella, a semi-reasonable facade to ensnare the Milletian so she may eradicate us all. Also equally possible the facade was meant for Shakespeare and not us, or both of us.

FakeLugh had the Paragraph given to Ruari, which means...
Fake Lugh Killed Ruari and the Ruari we fought in Saga was actually not Ruari at all!
Or Lugh was Ruari!
BRILLIANT!

You forgot the part where Shakespeare didn't bother to inquire further about Triona's grave, and took Cichol's (who, might I remind you, has a history of lying when it suits his purposes and/ or whims) word for her death. Even if we can't see a reason for Cichol to lie about it, it's very possible that he could have one without us knowing. Simply put, there is no solid evidence that Triona is dead. All that we know is that she's absent from the picture. She could be taking a vacation out in the boondocks for all anybody knows.
You also forgot the part where Morgant explicitly stated that he had abandoned the name of "Lugh".
Ruairi: What's this sword?
Morgant: ...A promise from the past, Ruairi.
Ruairi: ...The power to punish the world...?
Morgant: ...It starts with this. ...This is the sword that determined my fate. From here on out, this will guide you to immense power.
Ruairi: ...Oh my gosh... this... this is!!!
Morgant: ...You know about this...sword?
Ruairi: ...Pra...garah... it can't be... it's Pragarah. The hole sword that the Knight of Light used in that deadly war against the Fomors.
...If you're talking about this sword, yes. I still vividly remember the stories behind this.
Morgant: ...
Ruairi: ...I've heard of the story a million times. The story of a great warrior who courageously fought against the Fomors and managed to turn the tide of the war in our favor... The hero who is referred to in reverence as the Knight of Light, saving humanity from all things evil... and, the holy sword that carried the deed of the said hero...
Morgant: ...You must have really liked that story. It's nothing more than a praise song for a hero.
Ruairi: Wait...!!! The reason I strived to become a Paladin... was because of him. I promised myself to live the life of that hero. I truly believed my calling was to protect those in need...
Morgant: ...
Ruairi: ... Lugh Luvada, the Knight of Light... Is that really... you? But then... why...?
Morgant: ... I think you're missing the boat, Ruairi. ... I may have been called that in the past. Alas, I have disowned that name a long time ago. ... Do not... ever... call me by that name again. I am... ...Dark Lord Morgant.
My theory regarding the subject is that at some point after g3, Triona left Morgant, and he went into a mad fit because of it. Seeing opportunity, Morrighan told Bella to fill in Triona's role in his life to influence his actions for her own purposes. Some people go rather bonkers when they lose the only family that they have, and it's easily possible for such a thing to have happened to him. With all that has happened to him, and after having already abandoned humanity because they fucked up the mother tree, I don't think it's too much of a stretch for him to go over the deep end. It probably would only take a small amount of convincing from Bella to get him to return to human eyes as Lugh for the sake of infiltrating and obtaining what they required.
The explanation given for Tuan being reborn as a deer was rather straightforward. As a walking corpse, he was filled with only negative emotions, quite well emphasized by how much of a sour puss he was. By permanently killing him, we allowed him rest from his sorrows and regrets, and he was reborn anew and refreshed, as [S]Arceus[/S] a magical deer with regenerative powers. The Caliburn was capable of restorative powers, and Tuan was able to use the Caliburn's power. He was probably reborn because of it.

Fairly sure Python Guy was alive, but I'm mistaken?
-
Darkboy132 wrote on 2015-06-14 02:12
It's never been explicitly stated that Tuan died. His body just goes poof. Same with other people like Esras (though G3 might have said something). But besides... Tuan is UNdead isn't he...?
If Triona didn't die, then what would happen if Tarlach's plan to resurrect her was successful?

Plotholes, surely you must mean sinkholes.
So many to think of to list.

No confirmation on his death/ survival, but I doubt he could have survived that light blast. If he had, he certainly would have chased us down afterwards.

But doesn't he need the Milletians help to rebirth into a deer?

Ah you're right, i had that in mind but forgot- Triona could still be alive. If G16 Lugh really is a fake, or was actual Lugh and actual Lugh had noting to do with Triona until Bella brainwashed him for Morrighan's purposes, we can't take his word for Triona's state. And neither can we take the word of Cichol, being the deceptive person he is (masquerading around as Morrighan). And Ruairi found out about Triona's death the same way we did, he doesn't actually know. (Plus Ruairi is one known for jumping to conclusions. . .)
I was under the impression that Tuan was immortal, that even if his body rots, he cannot die.
Spirit of Tuan pet's explanation doesn't really make sense in terms of mabi's story for me. It makes sense mythologically since the last partholon has been known to undergo many reincarnations, including a deer. But Mabi has never been one to undergo actual myth's logic, otherwise the boss of G1 would be a green cow known solely for having a limitless supply of milk. Also, Starlet would also be such a cow, and goddess of a lake. She would have walked around a well in clockwise a few times, which caused the well to leak.

If Tuan is immortal, then why would he rebirth into a deer when he needs vengeance against us or something?

I'd really like to believe that there is some deeper meaning and mabi lore actually makes sense, but I'm pretty sure that each new director didn't bother to get familiar with the whole story, thus things cease to add up.
But hey, we can say it's all a dream someone is stuck in after getting hit by a truck or something.

The Japanese theme song "Eternal" does mention waking up from a dream (it actually says "please don't wake up"), implying that Mabinogi itself is a dream. Dreams are often nonsensical, ya'know.
