Cutscenes (Requests wanted!)

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. Image and video embeds are disabled on purpose and represented textually since most of those links are dead.

Cutscenes are stored client side, and "played" from the server. This means that we can tell when cutscenes up through G13 ONLY are triggered, but we can play all cutscenes using Aura. Please posts requests for this kind of info.

Note that when you play a cutscene, the server tells the client how the characters in the cutscene look. I set up the cutscene script on Aura so that it automatically pulls what characters it can from the NPCs in the world. However, missing ones, like monsters, default to Ferghus, because it's hilarious.

I recorded the cutscene for you. Aura didn't have most NPCs, so I made "Bella" use Ophelia's model, and the rest are Ferghus. Soooo many dead Ferghuses. Makes me happy.

As a side note, they pulled a crapton of random NPCs for that cutscene. There are 38 actors, including members of:

No typo. It's everything beyond G13 that we can't see triggers for.

Both Liberation cutscenes play through for me.

By the way, the G15 ending scene made me realize that maybe the various G ending credits aren't simply a bunch of images one after another. Can I request G1 and G2 ending scenes? I skipped through those and I'd like to see if they showed something relevant.

They just can't tell what triggers the cutscenes. G16 has apparently four variations:
- Shakespeare appears in his home:
  - In his younger, adult self throughout G15 and 16.
  - In his older self throughout G13 and 14.
- Morrighan appears in Falias:
  - With Nuadha and Cichol present.
  - Without Nuadha and Cichol present.

@Ferghus genocide. There can only be one! I imagine the cut scene is really the main character finding out that Ferghus is really just one of many evil clones sent to Erinn to destroy humanity. Just replace Ophelia with another Ferghus clone and you have the main character being killed for discovering the truth.

Lassar + Dilys cut scene confirms it.

Damn that's how the game should have gone.

Aura can trigger any client cutscene. More than likely, you'll see a lot of Ferghuses as most NPCs are missing. You can always add them, though, if you're feeling adventurous...

Have you checked the crystal balls? Supposedly the cutscenes are also in there, judging by their names.

Worked fine for me, but I had Ferghus for nearly everything. I can insert some other people, though.

Yes it is. It's an NPC-only item. The icon for it is the belt tassel gift thingy from Nao, and it's a 1x1 square in the inv. Appears as "?" when dropped. I think it's untranslated, too.

When I first played the cutscene, it was ALL Ferghus. I was surrounded by Ferghus, then Ferghus appeared and looked at me, then summoned another Ferghus with a sword to stand over me and stab me.

I could always upload that version, if you're interested.

Oh please do, that would amuse me immensely. In fact, you could do a whole storyline of just Furghus's. Replace like Claimh Solas and Nuadha with Furghus's and upload those; make furghus Cichol; etc. You don't have to, I just think it would be funny to tell the tale of how Furghus destroyed Erinn.
