  The only data that comes from the G13 files is the data that can't be found in the client, which isn't a lot. Most information can be found in the client's data as well.

  Ah, Okay. Time to change my title to bumbling idiot then, but that explains that a bit more clearly. Never really had time to go and look at the aura project in depth, as I'm extremely, exceedingly, bad at code and anything pertaining to it. I'm better at logistics and hedge mechanics, simply how something interacts and works with everything else, rather than what actually makes it happen.
  
  I figured that MabiRe Was going to crash and burn then the idiot who was running the shindig shut it down because, surprise, nobody wanted to play on a half broke server that dates back to the g13 update about four-five years back.

  Mabinogi used to keep a lot of things client-side for actual use. This was to save on server costs and bandwidth by having the client take care of a lot of things too. So instead of, for example, the server bothering to calculate whether you were close enough to use Healing on somebody, they just had your copy of the game do that.
  
  But that's stupid and insecure. People could easily mod the game (even with just data edits) to do things like heal at any range, always have 100% accuracy, and far, far worse. So for security Devcat made the server start doing calculations itself and ignoring what the client says.
  
  Even though the game was made (relatively) more secure... the main setup of the client having a copy of most of the data that it personally needs to deal with is still there, which is why we end up with a lot of what the server has as far as item and area definitions and stuff go. However not all of it is the same, not all of it is used on either side, and not all of it trusted.

  Actually, Aura uses the official Mabinogi client. No modifications are needed to use an official client on an Aura server. While a custom client would be nice, we don't have one, and that's not the focus of the project.
  
  Also, project members may reference various Mabinogi files, both client and server, to guide implementations of features. Some databases, like itemdb, have to be "translated" into Aura's db format, but Aura does not use any Mabinogi files as is.

  Can you guys look into Monster-only equipments? I know you showed a couple on the first post, but I know there are more.
  
  For example, you could look into the Master Lich's wand (which I believe is the ducat shop wand), or Girgashiy's weapon, etc. You get the idea.
  
  I know there used to be a mod where you could click on "view equipment" on any interactive target, including monsters, but not sure if that exists anymore, or if Aura allows that.

  The view equipment mod still works and gets in-hand items like that, and Pale will log what they have in their hands too.
  
  But of course if you have the name (NA/KR) or ID we can just spawn in a base model.

  As far as Girg, he's actually naked. A lot of monsters that have unique "weapons" just attach a visual model to their hand and there's no actual item for it.

  looking at steps, is there a reason why characters can't be above ground without flying mounts? Also makes me wonder if we're actually wielding invisible items when flying on a mount...
