A recent announcement from solar scientists suggests that the Sun may soon enter a period of significant reduced activity, possibly causing a mini ice age by 2030 – just 15 years from now.

These predictions were announced at the National Astronomy Meeting in Llandudno, Wales, so it hasn't been possible to evaluate the research yet. However, Professor Valentina Zharkova from the University of Northumbria who made this announcement claims that the findings come from a computer model of sunspots that has made "unprecedentedly accurate predictions," as reported in The Guardian.

Science hasn't really agreed yet how much of an impact solar activity cycles have on climate:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_cycle#Terrestrial_climate
An odd thing I did hear about though is that global warming actually triggers ice ages, and that it happens in a cycle regardless of human intervention. Wonder if any of that is true, and if it has anything to do with the sun like that article is saying.

I do study some astrology, and I can quite say that it may be true... But not just from the sun though, but some type of energy from a planet named Sedna because it's currently close to us right now in its 11k-ish year full orbit cycle.

Pretty much this, I'm sick of this humidity.

What... There's NAMED planets outside our solar system?
The last thing I've heard in astrology is that Pluto is no longer a planet or something.

Pluto is a dwarf planet. And technically our solar system is pretty huge. It doesn't stop at the orbit of pluto. People actually kept debating where it stopped, I don't know how many times throughout my life I saw the headline "Voyager 1 left solar system", they keep adjusting it based on the sun's gravitational effects or something.

We know relatively nothing about the solar system, let alone the universe. Hell we don't even know everything about our own planet.

Well it doesn't even have to be the sun. There were studies done on how much cosmic rays the earth receives just by the solar system's passages through the spiral arms of the milky way. It's theorized that the cosmic rays ionizes electrons which attracts water vapour and causes more formation of clouds which blocks sunlight. Of course this happens every hundreds of thousands of years but it's still quite interesting.

^ Awful website layout but an interesting read. The graphs aren't bad either.

They're guessing around 30 years, to be precise.
