Thoughts about Alban Knight Training Camp?

  I haven't tested in months but last time I did fully buffed (cater/inspiring bfo/bone chip, etc) I could hit 40ks+ on raccoons without combo card but it would be a little bit higher now cause I have better max damage enchants and the combo card so it'd probably be closer to 45ks or so. You can't really rely on something like inspiring bfo and temporary boosts like bone chip for actual runs though.
  
  People who specialize in magic also would not normally get such high numbers via BFO since their STR and max damage enchants are usually lesser than those of people who specialize in physical combat skillsets and might be better off with vivace + vivace speed reforges.

  Edit: Nevermind. It's on floor one, where there arent any monsters in the real hillwen mine and there are stairs that go down to a deposit of unpure hillwen ores.

  If I remember correctly, you just kinda find them on accident. I thought that the hilwen mine area originally was a really REALLY closed off space, until I saw a guildie of mine further back. I guess the area leading there isn't perfect stairs, but there are steps of some sort.

  It's a needlessly large room, 95% wasted space, that you have to walk through about 16 times. The dungeon already takes fucking ages because of how much HP everything has. If they just got rid of the pet desummon on clicking emblems (which makes no sense anyway?) I'd be fine, cause then at least I could just keep my mount out and use it for combat movement and getting between rooms. Instead I have to summon a new one every single time I change locations.
  
  It's not hard or anything, it's just frustrating and compounds the already huge amount of time that this dungeon sinks.

  When the boss doesn't glitch, I'm taking about an hour to hour and a half to solo hard, and if I solo heroic, I assume it'll take around three hours to three and a half.

  Well just got done running Hard with guildmates and was pretty fun. Tried the Hidden Floor of Mages and got a Used Enchant out of it. First try at 33% and I succeeded :D

  Basically the complaint is that the area is needlessly large and running around it is pointless. Compared to SMs and dungeons... Dungeons are supposed to be maze-like, when you're dealing with corridors you need to find your proper way. In non-castle SMs you need to find the groups of enemies, run around and hunt them out before the time limit to finish. And castle SMs have tightly-packed rooms in the first place because there's no need to hunt, so there's no need for the big space.
  
  Why are dungeon boss rooms bigger than normal?
  Why are SM boss rooms/areas bigger than normal?
  'Cause you fight the bosses in them and you're expected to be running around and stuff.
  
  But the floors of Alban don't have a purpose to be that large, it serves no function. Given what I've seen, it's probably just the result of designing the boss room and then copy-pasting the "floors".

  I small difference, but combine that with the higher stats, and increased number of mobs and you get quite the disparity in the time it takes.

  Ugggh I think if I want to get through Advanced, much less Heroic, I'm just gonna have to focus 100% on my Magic tab for a while to get my Fireball and Firebolt strong enough to deal with this crap. Everything is just so bloody tanky... Anyone have a link to a skill-priority for maxing INT?

  I do have a question though for peeps. Which do you find easier to do on higher difficulties? I find it a lot less stressful and resource draining to solo rooms on Hard/Heoric rather than being with the group due to aggro management and what not.
  
  Of course only downside is that it takes much longer to do (Clear 1 room in the time it takes the group to clear 2 and 1/4 rooms)
  
  I think I have the strategy down pretty good though with the test room I did in Hard when I was running it with my guild. Shadow Cloak worked exceptionally well in getting me in a good spot to start sniping away with firebolt, while throwing in the occasional fireball.

  Group is much easier since there will usually be someone keeping up raincast and the mobs themselves just get shredded by all the flying fireballs and crash shots and kunai storms and firebolts.
  
  On groups I just stay where the orb/raincast is and don't have to worry about aggro ranges.
