So, OPM in a nutshell: Anyone who isn't Saitama or a Villain sucks.
What? This is hardly the case.
OPM asks the question: what does it mean to BE a hero? And we can already safely conclude it's not all about power levels. There are things like planning and teamwork (like shown in last three episodes) and most importantly - resolve (a wonderful example given by Mumen Rider).
Just because Saitama is on a whole another level than the rest of the universe doesn't meat everybody else is "shit."
Except with the whole battle with Deep Sea King, everyone who isn't Saitama got wiped effortlessly; Genos and Sonic haven't improved since their previous battles at all. And before that you have civilians, Snek, Tank-Top Tiger and Black Hole, and pretty much the Hero's Association staff being assholes to Saitama.
Okay, I'll give credit to Mumen Rider's determination, but I haven't seen the final few episodes yet.
Someone would need to do real calculations to compare goku and saitama. But in episode 12 we see saitama kick off from the moon to land back on the earth a couple seconds later.
The moon is 363,104 KM away from the earth.
Let's say it took him 5 seconds to jump from the moon to the earth (seemed like less than that though, since the guy who sent him to the moon wasn't even finished talking).
He traveled 72,620 KM/s.
The speed of light is 299,792 KM/s.
So he traveled almost 1/4 the speed of light. His kick-off from the moon pretty much destroyed the surface of the moon as well..
My estimate of 5 seconds is probably too high though, so that's probably even faster.
Goku on the other hand can't even survive in space. Like we see in the resurrection of F movie, they make some kind of force field bubble to live in space when earth is destroyed. He can technically travel faster with instant transmission but that isn't physically traveling from point A to B so can't really be counted.
There's also the finishing punch at the end of ep 12 of OPM. A normal, no-energy-beam punch from Saitama split the clouds in earth's atmosphere. For someone like goku to do the same thing would typically need an energy beam style attack and not just the air pushed by a punch.
Then we find out that saitama wasn't going all out in episode 12 so despite those amazing feats there's still more hidden power.
So this is leaving me a tad confused. If Saitama was able to part the clouds halfway around Earth with a serious punch that probably wasn't even his full strength, he should have been able to shatter the asteroid to dust if he had punched at full power right? So why didn't he?
Seen 'em yet? If so, I imagine you have a different perspective.
Meh, I'm pretty mixed. Half of the S-rank heroes were fighting, the other half just stood there and watched. And Amani Mask is an asshole, why is he even interested in Genos to begin with?
