QFT.
Mabinogi's PvP system is entirely an afterthought and shouldn't exist at all. The presence of spammable skills that infinitely stunlock the opponent and/or make the attacking player untouchable make PvP completely worthless (Icebolt, Firebolt, Lightning Bolt, Arrow Revolver, Final Hit, elven hit-and-run tactics, etc. etc. etc.). Passive defenses don't even begin to make up for the abundance of infinite stunlock opportunities.

You know what's getting sad? People complaining about Martyr.
Whenever I go through mabinogi based forums, it's always some fool that's calling the whambulance and QQing about this guild. Modding is a part of the gaming lifestyle, deal with it or stop your crying.

Modding is like WoW modding style. Things to make the client easier to use and make it accessible. That i agree with perfectly. (which is what i do. Sue me and sue me to hell. WoW does it fine and so should any other company)
Hacking is altering things that give the player boosts that other players can CLEARLY see and notice and provide legitimate backlash to other players and defer their playing style.
Modding = bending the code for your own personal use without other players even getting a hint of it (though obvious exceptions are noted (people being stupid with copy and paste with CP or leaving party signs up for too long)).
Hacking = Breaking the code for your personal gain and abuse while other players can see and notice you doing it.
Clear difference.
And on this topic i don't really care...
I am usually gray in this type of discussion but yea. My one opinion on mods and hacks and here it is.
P.S.
Mabi's PvP system is complete crap. Too many possible exploits or "hacks" or infinite combos and people with their ego's (English meaning and Mabinogi meaning)
P.S.S. It's life unfortunately. Move on and past them.

I'm gonna have to agree with this.
I understand that hacking and modding can frustrate other people, but you're sort of a hypocrite for qqing about someone doing something against the rules when you yourself are a modder. Like its been said before, they could have a really fast computer and internet connection, as well as -HP equips. Chances are you actually didn't check their inventory in the heat of the situation.

Modding ≠hacking.

I understand that, but I still find it hypocritical. Modding breaks Nexon's rules just as much as hacking, so I don't understand why people whine so much about it, saying as this was a stupid matter, anyway.

It is disappointing that Martyr still exists. It's pretty obvious that they abuse any mods/hacks that they can get their hands on. Mabinogi's PVP system would be worth getting upset over if it didn't suck to begin with. It might as well not even exist, imo.
...although I recall a glitch/mod that allowed people to auto-accept trades thus stealing items. Something like that would be infuriating.
Mabinogi is just not for PvP, same with Maplestory (some private servers actually tried to implement it)
and it was funny when there was this was going around and people told me to trade with them through mail only.

It's like being in a horrible stepfamily (and I have personal experience). They lay the ground rules to suit THEIR needs and tastes, and you just have to go along with it -- but inside you wouldn't do anything their way if you could possibly help it, and behind their backs you bend the rules as much as possible without being noticed (again, personal experience). Who would care about a family that doesn't care about you?
The same applies to Nexon. They don't give a crap about you as a customer, even if you're a paying customer. So why should you bother caring about them? Their rules don't mean anything. Bend or break them if you so desire. As I've said for the past two years:
Nexon: F**k 'em.
I have zero respect for the ToS of a company that has zero respect for me.

This all comes down to whether or not you think it's right to break the TOS, not whether or not you will be banned.
Because we all know Nexon doesn't give a damn that we mod. They just don't.

I'm against mods because I don't need them, just like I never needed service.
If you can afford to have service monthly, premium cards, moar pets, etc. , but mod because of lag, YOU CAN AFFORD TO SWITCH TO A NEW ISP/COMPUTER.
Anything else is just unnecessary no matter what argument you make. (BUT I NEED MY FIODH WIFF NO TREES/CUSTOM TEXT BAWW)
EDIT: Also I fully expect for modders to rage at this/harass me. I'm not going to look back at this post though

Honestly, I just like the looks of it, and the lulz. For me, it's something light, and it definitely helps my computer lag. People who go overboard still annoy me, when they can revive instantly, never miss, things like that break the game.
Mods are nice, make the game more pleasant, for sure.

Not necessarily + Mabi's font lags even with new comps.

Is teleporting with final hit with no monsters around, similar to final shot's teleporting, a mod or a hack? ---ck, a well-known modder in Mari, would not reveal to me exactly how he did it.

There are no hacks for mabinogi, only game breaking mods. I also know how Marck did it, and I'm also not revealing it.
And also..
