Assumptions such as these only emphasize your ignorance of the situation. Anticipating that people will "rage" only makes you look like a smartass. Turning around and leaving the post because you know people will try to argue their case with you just shows that your bias is one that cannot be cured. <_<

It's been proven multiple times over that it takes a PC of epic proportions (multiple thousands of dollars worth of insane hardware) to make Mabinogi, a LOW-SPEC MMORPG, run without its inherent lag problems due to errors in font rendering in the absence of font mods. I'm not talking about removing relatively unnecessary eye candy for the sake of a weak processor, I'm talking about a KNOWN ERROR in the client font renderer -- an error that is EASILY bypassed, as is evidenced by the number of people who no longer suffer from said rendering problem due to client-sided modifications. It should not require a monster PC to run Mabinogi smoothly at all times.

Switching to a new ISP is not in the hands of the minors who play Mabinogi (although it may be within the financial means of the adults who play), and the same applies to purchasing a new PC.

TL;DR -- all your arguments are old as dirt and have been refuted so many times that they're worthless.

Clearly you've never bothered to open the chatlog after being on the same channel for a prolonged period, or open your character window near a campfire or mana tunnel (or almost any time for that matter). Or perhaps you simply don't know how bad the client's rendering problems are because you've never experienced anything else. Your PC's stats are very poor -- only 2GB of RAM, ZERO dedicated VRAM, etc. Mine are much better and I'd still suffer from the problems I've already mentioned.

Just did all of those things and I made a video, while in disarm, on channel 1.

Edit: I also have a mage alt(not with all r1 skills though), don't lag on that.

Or my giant.

Or my elf which I put in the wrong server by accident.

Even while running a PC that is BELOW minimum requirements for running Mabinogi, you've magically avoided the font lag problem (despite the fact that my laptop, which is just about identical to your PC, lags like hell without font mods). I've also played it on my cousins laptop and had absolutely no lag, and it's a whole continent away from where I last logged on.

Don't have the stats for that but they were using windows XP and it was about a year or 2 old.

Logitization go!

1. Modding is an inexpensive way to reduce lag and remove annoying bugs and ill-thought out features.
2. Buying a new computer, upgrading internet bandwidth, or moving closer to Los Angeles are expensive and less effective ways to reduce lag and the effects of annoying bugs and ill-thought out features.
3. One is morally obligated to spend more money to do less.
Conclusion: One is morally obligated to buy a new computer, upgrade internet bandwidth, and move closer to Los Angeles before one mods.

Anyway, I have seen people who res the frame after they are killed. The get-up animation begins at the same time as the knockback. Every time. That is hax.

Did I mention that my laptop literally overheats and shuts down while it's running Mabi unless it's cooled from outside, because its internal fans can't handle the heat generated by the processor while Mabi's running? Did I also mention that I get a pathetic framerate on that machine, which may account for your inability to discern actual lag?

The specs on your machine are well below the recommended minimum (zero VRAM). There is no way in hell you're telling the truth; that or you simply just don't know what you're talking about. That's all there is to it.

I think we would all love to see that video. If you could make one where you're in combat and open the Character window while doing battle, I think we would like that too.

On another note, I have a gaming laptop, great internet, and live within 30 miles of Los Angeles, and I still lag.

Can you post a video of you soloing shadow wizard hard using melee with your chat log open, at least 4 lines visible and with a scroll bar that indicates that the chat log contains at least 100 lines of text?

Point is, I wonder if you tolerate a clean client because you don't spend time in performance demanding situations that require you to track the stun and aggro states of 6+ mobs while inputing 4+ commands/sec to control yourself and your pet, which would be terribly difficult with a low frame rate. I made do with a clean client back when I was windmilling in rabbie basic and considered that challenging.

I don't know if it counts or not but I have party chat disabled but I forgot I did, if it doesn't count with it disabled I'll put it on and re-record it.

I just have it off because of spam so I can see guild chat/ego messages.

Edit: I might be lagless but I'm way too weak for even shadow wizard int. solo. I'm also not 1000+ because I refuse to powerlevel because I suck at strategizing.

Again, just because you somehow don't lag doesn't mean everybody else doesn't. Also, if all they're doing are text/graphic mods to help reduce lag, makes Mabi a more enjoyable experience and doesn't harm you in any way or form, why the "omg-get-better-comps-guys" rage?
