  Well hello there! It's been a while since I made a thread, that's not realted to Nexon News, heheh.
  Anyway, as the title suggests, I'm looking for things on Wiki that you guys think could use abit of work, but don't feel like doing it yourself. (And Wiki Talk pages get like 0 attention these days, lol)
  
  Currently, I'm working on all things Enchant-related, I just finished adding all related enchants to there skill pages and making sure their names are up to date (99% sure on that), so I've decided to tackle the Enchant Sequence page, while it's currently not useful to most, we won't always be showered with "Rank Regardless" enchants and free steps.
  
  So I wanted to know what you guys think.
  Currently, the page looks like this.
  And I was doing a bit of work and currently have this as a slight "rework" idea.
  I split up most weapon types and gear types so people will be able to immediately go to what they're looking for. But it''ll probably end up relatively big so I might split them up accross a few pages, the convenience should still be there.
  
  However, I feel like it looks a bit weird for the most part, so I was wondering if you guys had an idea of what you think it should look like!
  
  Also, as I said again, I'm looking for suggestions on what sections of the Wiki could use some work, I have a lot of "free time" on my hands so I can deal with everything relatively well right now.

  First step would be to allow data mined info be available in Wiki. Wiki isn't a Nexon related forum, so I don't see why not.
  
  Second, links to other sources of information would be good, and links are available in my reddit post.
  
  Third, I think a page for "Ideal gear set up", regarding enchants, items, etc, would be nice. I get way too many people asking, "What enchants should I use?"
  
  The enchant page you're working on more or less looks like a solid start.
  
  And as always, check for errors and blemishes. Remember when Wiki used to say Support Shot's aiming isn't affected by Ranged Attack rank? Don't want things like that to happen again.

  honestly, looking from a beginner's perspective, wiki is fine as a source of data/info except for the slow updates, imo bad search engine and the pages that are outdated. For more advanced players tho, I'd just ask people on nation (lel)
  What new players really need is a reliable guide to get them started so they don't fuck up like half the players that start on mabi. something like detailed descriptions of talents that will allow players to choose the correct talent at the right time and not start guns like an idiot. A mabi lingo page would be nice but not needed eg. what's ma, sm whatever...
  Just focus on what new players need :/

  Upgrade paths for newer commonly used weapons that don't have it, as well as possible recommendations on why some upgrade paths are better than others and when to use and not to use artisan (artisan upgrades are always labeled as the highest damage upgrade, which is no longer the case now that we hit stat caps so easily).
  
  The upgrade system isn't really all that newbie friendly. Seeing badly upgraded weapons, or really good enchanted/reforged weapons (like magic weapons or CRKs) made worse by having used an artisan is a pretty sad thing. Then there's also special considerations like effective range for guns and bows (people keep upgrading dowras for all max damage instead of double range or 1 range 1 artisan, people keep making terrible upgrade decisions on royal crossbows, etc) since max damage isn't always the only thing that matters.

  Unfortunately, despite Wiki not being "Nexon-related", they had to disallow data mined info order to continue being an official fan site.
  Nexon once took action against that and some of the well..."damage" can still be seen in the backdata of some templates.
  
  As for everything else, those seem like solid ideas. (thanks so far)

  Anyways, with that rant out of my system. The tables do look a lot nicer in your version but it would be nice to have a section to show what steps you would need for some of the enchant upgrades if they are needed or if they can be bypassed all together (enchant regardless of rank)
  
  What would also be helpful is some success rates in there for the various powders, probably a table or something at top, something that indicates the level of risk of what you are about to attempt. I'm not sure if there's anywhere on the wiki that lists the % chance per powder/per enchant rank type of thing but it would be really nice to have in one spot imo. You can assume 200int for each of the % rate as getting 200int is super easy to do, and most likely if you don't have the enchant rank yourself, whoever is doing the enchanting for you is extremely likely to have 200int+

  I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "enchant upgrades" (I mean it's always A > 9 > 8 > etc.), but the rank regardless enchants' names are still shown in green, similar to how the current page is.
  
  The Enchanting success rates are usually on the Enchant Skill page itself, but I can consider adding it if it makes things easier for people.

  I meant for the things you need to do steps on like say you have a r6 enchant like Crocodile that you need to either apply a r5 enchant like Stamp too or you have to use other enchants to get up to r7 on the item. Would be nice to have a recommended stepping path that shows which is the most effective and easiest enchants to apply to the item for optimal success.
  
  Although maybe all these suggestions I have are more fit for a stand alone tool and would require a lot of information compiling and what not.

  What really rustles my jimmies these days is the lack of combat etiquette people know. Especially for girg since people keep bringing their new friends into difficulties above normal (ruairi lack raiders so normal is pretty hardcore for most raiders but not all ) despite them not knowing everything and screwing up runs.
  Since "go to wiki" is what everyone will always say, it'd be nice to have such a page to educate stubborn bladers who lack damage and steals ss or just idiots ._.

  First, Crocodile is a rank 7 item, but that's beside the main point.
  
  There are few instances where it's preferable to not go A>9>8>etc. Prime example of this is enchanting Thorn Lotus, or Chord when you can't find Cherished.

  Many people (myself included) would love to contribute (because there are still many images missing, especially Giant versions of outfits), but those needless restrictions are successfully driving them away from doing so.
  
  So I suggest new rules: any image is fine as long as graphical settings are on "high", the item in question is clearly visible and there aren't too many artefacts - really now, it's a wiki not an art gallery.

  As far as I know, the image rules are rather reasonable. No whites/blacks/detex, No mods(reason why I haven't torn the damn NeedsPicture category down), and clear lighting. Which is dunby library atrium, only the item showing, and preferably random or clear-cut colors.
  
  The jpg/png issue I can't really whine on or bitch about. I didn't use AA for years because I never could tell the difference with how horrid my eyes are. These are however some of the most ancient guidelines on the site, since the DeadEiry project was in 2010 I think. Revision could be an idea.

  Anyways, @Snowie: I think the changes are good. Its been a while since anybody has had the time and initiative to work on the wiki. The enchant pages are one of the lesser worked-upon that I know. I've been planning on setting up some more of the foreign content pages and working on missing image for a while, but have never found the spare time or will to do it.

  I think the image policy thing is worth bringing up to the admins/moderators of MWW, there have barely been people uploading images for months now and there's been a lot of cases where my friends just wanted to see what an item looks like, only to see the Wiki has no images on it.
  
  I personally think any image is fine as long as you can tell what it is, though obviously no obnoxious hair or anything that covers half the item and decent lighting. The image could always be replaced with a better one later on. (As long as people aren't being stubborn about keeping their face on a webpage)

  Most of the time I deal with things that mostly go unnoticed, like I redid the entire CP table, Potion information, and Gem pages, but this one was something of which I had no idea of what look to go with, as Enchants are more than just a name, so any help or advice in that department is welcome, heh.
  
  Foreign Content is a sensitive matter though. Once you start that you better be there when NA gets it because you're gonna have to update all your work with translations and stuff, and we all know what Nexon likes to do with those.

  parts of the wiki are really outdated or missing data, yes, unfortunately, they just dont have enough people helping out to keep everything updated and somethings are difficult to get all the info on (such as raid drops, some items are rly rare from those, and often its the raid bosses that few people bother with, or perhaps even remember exist, such as yeti and mammoth. lord mission are probably missing a bit of data too, but often the people that run those things arent the people that work on the wiki and the reverse is true, often the people working on the wiki arent the ones running those things frequently). this all causes there to be things like missing data, outdated pages, and changes to things in game (such as ES names and what not) often cause links to go to the wrong place or for those things to remain unupdated for long periods of time.
  
  basically the problem they have is that theres too many things that need to be done, not enough people that are working on them (either due to not knowing what they're doing, being unwilling to help, or for some other reason unable to help) and people that complain about how the wiki is outdated or missing things, yet do nothing to help fix the issue (cant stand these people, if they do nothing because they arent able to its one thing, but if they just dont want to, then dont complain!)
