The legendary for Sun looks too much like the lion from Gen 6. Forget it's name.

Pyroar, and that's exactly what I thought when I first saw the Gen 7 legendary.

New info came out today! Seems like we'll have 4 big islands in Alola region. Few new characters revealed such as Professor Kukui, Lillie (Kukui's mysterious assistant), and your rival, Hau.

Solgaleo confirmed to be Psychic/Steel and Lunala confirmed to be Psychic/Ghost... meh, I'm disappointed they didn't use this opportunity to make new type combinations.

You didn't mention the most important part about that video...ROTOM POKEDEX! HYPE!

Solgaleo is weak to fire and Lunala is weak to dark.
Alright.

Alright.
The irony of that is pretty astounding. So much for Pokemon Sun and Moon legendaries being representative of what they are mascotting.

"Solgaleo, "the beast who devours the sun", is a Steel type because the lion who eats the sun is an alchemical symbol for the purification of metals."

There's a theory I saw on tumblr that went further explaining that the star that contains the most metal elements is in the constellation Leo.

The sun also contains more iron than anything else. Probably kept it psychic because it actually has some psychic powers related to story.

Alright.
Yeah, the typing for Solgaleo shocked me because it doesn't scream Steel/Psychic type... I thought it'd end up being Fire/Steel, to be honest.
Psychic/Ghost kinda fit in for Lunala but I'd rather they do Ghost/Flying or Fairy/Ghost because I felt that is more fitting for Lunala than Psychic/Ghost.

Hmm...I wonder what kind of fun someone could have using Skill Swap against those two legendaries...
Lunaala's ability would probably be a nice ability for a bulky pokemon too...

Interesting. One has 2x weakness to four types. The other has 4x weakness to 2 types. Both have at least one immunity. Believe it or not, I'm actually more underwhelmed by the abilities than the typing, more so because they aren't new effects in any capacity. Lunaala essentially gets Multiscale with a more thematic name which is a pretty solid ability. I am however disappointed in Solgaleo's Full Metal Body, which is pretty much Clear Body with a fancier name. They could have given it a more Solgaleo-relevant variant of Flash Fire, something that upon negating a Fire move rather than boost Fire damage would instead boost defensive stats.

Eh...can't say I'm too surprised about those abilities' flavor already existing , I guess.
At least the Rotom pokedex is different for [s]Megaman Battle Network 4 Falzer / Griega: Red Sun / Blue Moon[/s] than in the other games. But they'll need more than that and trainer customization to grab peoples' attention. Though...at least they did give people part of what they want.

Who are we kidding, they already have the pokemon fans attention. Most pokemon fans will buy just about any game they throw out as long as it has new pokemon in it.

Meh. It's better than abilities like Pressure at least.
