Shall I Rid Myself of This Ego?

  Spirit daggers are terrible weapons. The daily blessing is largely useless, the chance that it will bless your equipment or replenish your mana isn't worth the inability to use a decent spirit weapon.
  
  Spirit weapons like that serve as a nice sign that says "I don't know what I'm doing" IMO. I make sure to keep people like that from running anything serious (healers/bards/other "fantasy life" players).

  Who said you have to maintain it? If the player has absolutely no desire to use an Ego weapon ever, then I see no reason as to why they can't have a 1x2 item that has the potential to save a person some Holy Water. It's unlikely the person will ever have it equipped aside from when they're talking to it, so the chances of it dropping out of Happy/Fine is very low, [s] and if they have the right mods, they don't even have to have the weapon equipped to talk to it, meaning that it will never get out of Happy/Fine[/s]. Sure, they could just carry a couple stacks of HW on their body, and a few stacks on their pets, but this ain't G1 anymore, where HW were 10k a stack, so if I can save myself a buck by not having to use a HW, then all the better.

No, I'm just saying that having a small item that can save a person some money in the long run isn't a bad investment. Of course, this only applies if the person won't ever use an Ego weapon. And by ever, I mean ever.

  I never use it for combat or garbage disposal though (why dispose when you can NPC it off?). Nor do I feed it. A virtually lifetime's worth of random, positive blessings is worth the 1x2 space.
  
  I don't use an ego weapon for combat? Why? Because I very, very rarely used my previous ego weapon in combat before. Also, I wasted too much time and money feeding it. The monetary investment to actually get a good ego weapon is out of my league. I used my previous ego way more for blessings (and Tears of Spirit x.x). Therefore, I concluded I only use my ego for blessings. That caused me to get rid of my old one and make an ego dagger to fulfill the blessing need I have, while at the same time, not taking up more inventory space as my previous one did.
  
  No use in combat = no need for stats = no need to feed it. Free blessings and money savings.
