wow thanks so much phanterz :D
exactly what i needed~ +rep for u
Also stam is a problem. Unless you have godly stam this is worthless except some parts of siren (rats). But you need good def, good healing rank and a good chunk of stam. In that video 300+ seemed good.
Windheal is very ineffective because you're
1) Taking dmg from the enemies in the first place, and
2) you're losing 10% HP from windmill.
Also, when the enemies attack, their attacks are staggered; meaning that once you're knocked back with heal, your windmill would only hit the one that charges at you. You must be extremely quick or the monsters must be slow to manage to hit 2 or more.
As the previous posters said; when multiaggroed by monsters like Ship rats, it's best to summon a pet and distract the other ship rat while you yourself is doing
Windmill > Defense > N+Windmill > repeat. Combo.
Final Advice: Potions. They are implemented in the game for a reason.
EDIT: Another thought. I do Rundal Siren often, and I can assure you that Magic is much more effective. Even when our guild challenged Rundal Siren Hardmode, my guild mate's r1, +4 CC firebolt was much more effective than my critical windmill.
Wind heal becomes a little less useful when you destroy everything without really needing it.
But its always going to be handy when you're soloing Rundal Siren. Always.
Pet Swiping doesn't get 5 rats at once.
If you have enough defense, you could technically solo Peaca. With max defense potential you can tank peaca mosnters for 1 damage during heal.
Have fun doing N+WM+defense on ship rats. They have a 60% melee PD activation rate. That means they will also kill your pets pretty quickly, and once you get triple aggro, the suggestion does not work at anywhere close to a reasonable rate.
Windheal's for reducing potion consumption.
windheal is for the defense that healing gives. You are not going to use it on urself so I don't see why you would lose stam other than windmill itself.
^ this... so why are people saying we need a lot of stam?? im confused. also... @ joyjason's suggestion: question. by the time you do your method wouldn't your pet already have died?? the rats' pd activates very often so your pet will die fast i think. and when the pd activates for your shiprat, wouldn't it take pretty long to kill?? i mean you need to have your pet keep its rat at bay while you kill your own right?? this seems like the pet would die / almost die sooner than you.
if your pet dies, summon another one. It only takes a split second to desummon and summon another if you hotkey pet summons and desummon pets key. What your hoping for is a crit wm that can kill most of the rats around you. What your pet is doing is distracting one rat long enough for you to load wm.
With 60% PD, your pet should get in 2 hit before it PD's buying you that much more time. All your trying to do is buy time and pets only cost 1 feather to rez making it a win for you.
Also with Windheal, the point of the heal during the wm spinning animation is to boost your defence. All you really need is enough stam to load another windmill. In no case should you be using windheal to heal yourself. It'll just lower your defence. The point is to just lose the 10% from wm hp loss + only taking 1's for damage until you get knockback when you can load windmill again.
If things get too hairy, just play dead and take a 5 min break.
*Hope for a critical windmill eh? That might work on the normal BSR's, but on the hardmode ones with 2k HP, 60% melee PD, and 40 protection, you need to deal around 8k+ melee damage to kill them. I'm not sure who can hit that high on a critical windmill, but you can tell me if you know. /sarcasm
*Giants can't play dead, just as reference. If you have to play dead every time you get multiaggroed, it'll take you a year to get through hardmode rundal dungeons.
*Pets die very, very quickly here. 1-2 hits is average. And you only have 10 easy-access ones at most. A pet probably can't distract more than one rat at once. The other ones you have receive damage from.
i'm pretty sure 20 extra def from healing won't help much against hardmode multi aggro...
they just hit to hard, especially if they crit.
probably best to just bring a friend to HM siren or adv or w/e
a lot of times in hm dungeons even when there is a big party, more than one thing aggros you, so i think this is a good way to tide you over till someone comes to your aid.
I've solo'd rundal/siren hardmode using Thunder. Melee is simply a bad choice there to begin with.
Windheal is oldschool tech for trying to handle gorgons and bsr's when you're too weak to take them out fast. It doesn't translate well to hardmode versions. The point of windheal is not that it is a supergreat strategy, it's for when you don't have magic because you're spending all your ap on wm, you can spare the minimal ap needed for rkF heal as opposed to a real answer, like rk1 thunder.
