The reason I ask is because I want a more 'namey' name than I have now.
Using a real word seemed cool at first, now I dislike it.
Do you think it will? Or even better yet, does the Korean version have it?
Help is appreciated.

Dude, the game's been out for like a week?
Just make a new character. You can't really call it an investment. Maybe you can try a new character class type or wait for Evy.
I doubt there will be a name change item.

I see the point you're trying to convey, but it still took me a little while to max out all of the BP for all the boats available (except the solo'ing of the Giant Polar Bear. That hasn't treated me well.)
It took me a few days to accomplish that. If a name change results in only being about ten bucks, that's far less time wasted than restarting.

Valid point, but considered the history of both Nexon KR and Nexon NA, there just won't be a name change.
The only time I have ever heard of an instance of name changing is when the name is inconspicuously obscene, so the GM's ask the player to choose a new name and they change it for you. Of course, if its obviously obscene, they're just banned.
A paid name change feature would be incredibly inconvenient for communal issues. Keeping track of your friends would become so much more difficult. So its not exactly a great idea even if it means making a little extra cash.
Things I know for a fact that are going to be cash items in Vindictus:
Platinum Coins (they're a better version of silver coins, for when you run out)
Color Dye (more or less the same as mabinogi)
Goddess Grace (pretty much mabinogi's nao soulstone)
Character looks (instead of having a character card and a rebirth system, you just grab a premium hair and it'll charge you for the hair).

Nexon has featured name change o-o
maplestory has had name change for over 3 years now.
I think combat arms also has a name change in black market.

I think there were cash undergarments which give stats...

That's unfortunate. I was hoping there was a possibility. If not, restarting'll have to do.
And yeah. Keeping track of my buddies is already a hassle. So that's also a good point.
Also, thanks for the list. At least now I know what to expect.
I'm not sure if you know, but when you're waiting on the dock/boat for players to join your party, that shop-keeper sells items for a currency I'm not sure of. Would you happen to know what that might be?

I think those are called Seals of Enjoyment or something
You get them from Fishing and PvP
Neither of them are released ATM.

Hmmm, but perhaps then its just based on the developer company.
devCAT, I know for sure, won't give you a name change ._.

But those games are games where there's only one name allowed for the entire game, not per server, like how Mabi and Vindictus (and assuming DFO should Nexon actually add another server to the list). So by allowing name changes for those games, they're taking out the option of server moves because it would be possible to have two Arsiks, for example, in the same server, which in turn would most likely confuse the server, and cause problems. By not allowing name changes, that opens up the server move option, which is more likely to get people to bite, since they might not like their server, or they find out that their friends are in a different server, so instead of starting over, they can just move over.

It wouldn't allow you to move if you had the same name as someone. *Has coded name changes & server changes*
Mabi's servers you need a unique name anyway, so if someone on Mari had Byte, I couldn't make it on Tarlach.
IDK about DFO though ^^;

That's not true.
I have Mysticbreath of Mari and Mysticbreath of Ruairi.

Additionally, I'm constantly mistaken for Mari's vanished Fracture, who only occasionally makes an appearance.

Better to do it now while there's low amounts of content and a low level cap. It'll take a short amount of time to catch up with everyone once again, and you won't be falling behind when we get the update.
