I don't see it
I mean smaller parts I kinda think is more fun if they were flashy, but an entire piece of clothing I really don't get it (normal robes, I would kinda get too)
(for some reason if i ended that post like that it feels awkward to me)

It's for the rich to show off that they're rich because they got rare colors on their rare clothing.

Well for some people it is to give seizures to random people. xP
*wants a full seizure set and duel with it.
From what I gather, it is really for pvp distraction as evg ppl who can afford them has them.

Yeah, small parts are kinda cool when flashy, imo.
But a whole suit?
Ew.

The more flashy it is, the more show-offy they are.
Which is why I only restrict flashy placement on the smallest details. (like say, the ribbon on a Magic School Uniform?)

Unless your easily distracted flashy outfits shouldn't distract you in pvp. Makes you more noticeable and easier to pick out.

All the people on my blacklist wear fast flashy robes.

This. I've rarely seen a rich person who doesn't have some kind of rich flashy (not those crappy green to blue ones that cost like 400k).
The second day the mystery boxes came out, I saw two people with robes that had the biggest part as the seizure red/pink flashy and a secondary part with the blue flashy. Almost killed me.

Flashies aren't that bad, mostly because they look best when they're used on the small details of outfits, like the flame design on Admiral suits, and other small things like that. When you get to the main cloth part of the clothing, then it just gets too tacky, and even more so with the seizure Flashies.
Now what I don't understand is people that dye their clothes all pure black/white, leaving it so that there's no detail or design in it what-so-ever, and they just look like a head, hands/arms, and feet/legs sticking out of a black/white blob. Makes no sense what-so-ever. Couldn't they use an off black or off white color, where most people would look at it and say "that's black/white", but at the same time, you can actually see what the clothing looks like?

Flashy outfits are an eyesore and really show poor taste. It looks much better to dye some parts of the outfit (like the belt on pharrell gloves). I suppose that they're ok if you're roleplaying a flashy character (I saw some DBZ player w/flashy gold dye on Alexina a while back).
Pure Black/White outfits can look good. It's the lack of detail, that some people find appealing. Some players enjoy roleplaying light/dark roles. My guild robe as an example.

with some outfits, a black dye is more appealing because it covers up the details (some pixels aren't so pretty ingame) xD

Flashy outfits cause me to blacklist people more than any other reason.
I agree, flashy dyes in moderation is fine, but all over your equipment is just eye burning.

But what's the point of playing Fashionogi if everyone is just a blob? D;

Some of us play Mabinogi.

It will eventually lead to playing Fashionogi. Eventually, you'll have the gold just sitting in your bank, doing nothing, and there's nothing better to blow money on than clothing. While devCAT is constantly adding new skills for you to dump AP in, but eventually you will be maxing every skill. If you look back at previous generations, how many people got R1/capped of the newly released skills? So eventually, there's not much point to dungeoning but to make money, and make your total level number as high as you can, so either at that point, you'll be either becoming a socialite or dropping the game until new content comes out. And the first step to becoming a socialite in Mabinogi is by delving into the game known as Fashionogi. D:
