Okay, so if they don't carry pots, what do they carry?
All I always carry are:
Fine HP Potions, (Switches to Party Phoenix Feather on "No Potions")
Phoenix Feathers, (Switches to HP Potion on "No Feathers")
Repair Kit, (Switches to Party Phoenix Feather/HP Potion on "No Repairs")
Campfire Kit, (Gotta have this as a Fiona.)
Really, what else would a Lann carry?
Edit: While typing this, I was courteously ninja'd by zero.
I hate you. (<3)

Potions and healers are for scrubs.

I don't depend on Evies to heal me, but I die a little inside when I run off to the side the drink a potion and in the middle of drinking, I get healed to full by that one Evie that never healed the whole run. =D

Evie should provide some support and heal, but at the same time, if your going in without potion that is just noobish. I do agree only partly that Evie should play support but at the same time it shouldn't be their job. They are limited on the heals they can do. A person should always bring their own HP potions and if you don't, simply put, you shouldn't be in the group.

and each heal will most definitely heal way more than a pot...strictly math speaking, evie heals win...
Strictly math speaking your math fails.
My heals only do 200.
Less with Resenlian's runes.

As a Fiona...:
1st slot- Merc Recovery Potion/Fine Hp Potion
2nd slot - phoenix feather
3rd slot - party phoenix feather
4th slot - campfire kit
No seriously, I can just replace the campfire or party phoenix with something else if I need too, but there's not much other "things" that can go there other than armor repair kit that is useful instead of party phoenix for raids.
Besides, at level 38, the sp skill Shield Repair helps me keep my shield repair so I don't need the campfire kit as much. Especially since counter and perfect block adds to the SP bar pretty fast, it's usually enough for a quick shield repair before it breaks.

As a Lann I take
1 - Feather/Repair for group/solo
2 - HP Potion
3 - Fine HP Potion
4 - Campfire Kit
My play style in a party is generally "solo" anyway.

As a Lann, I take:
1. HP Potion
2. Campfire Kit if nobody else has rA, Stamina Potion if I'm speed running(Bought 100 for 200 ea in market, lol), Fine HP Potion if I'm soloing an annoying dungeon
3. Phoenix Feather
4. Party Feather

I think you should just play the game, if someone gets mad for you not healing them, continue to play the game the way you want to and ignore it. Spending th e time to create a thread in response to his stupid thread only means you dedicated 5 minutes of your life to someone who's not worth 5 seconds. D:
Also thought I'd add, most of my guild and I leveled together from 0 when evie came out. I think the entire time all the way up to level 38, we maybe used a potion like once or twice. It's really easy to not get hit if you know how to play, this is with any class. The basics of attacking in a circle aren't hard x]

that's a very entertaining thread to read, except nexon forum is failing so epically right now.
but yea, evies are suppose to be the mage class as opposed to the healer class. in fact i dont' think vindictus even needs a healer class. every other mmo that has a healer class either have very expensive pots or long pot cooldowns, neither of which exist in vindictus.

Heal should be used for emergencies, players who are complaining that evies are not healing are just stupid. They need to either work on their control or carry more potions. Don't expect evies to cover your asses for being reckless. It does depend on situations though...when the other party members are focusing on dealing damage to the boss, the evie should focus on healing them...obviously they can dish out more damage than an evie (Depends on level, ap, character build...but DPS-wise, evie is terrible anyway).

hmm, as my first post, I have to ask..
What boss, other than the 36 Tyrant, can not be soloed? Only reason I meantion that one, is because it is the only one that I have yet been able to kill alone.
A lann should be dodging the majority of everything. A fiona, PG counter, HS, or simply dodge.
Heals are great, but really doubt anyone should ever need one bad enough to bad mouth someone for it. If you do not come prepared, then you should be angry at yourself first.
On my Evie, if I notice someone is low, I will toss a heal, but am normally focused on keeping ME alive, and doing what makes me happy....Hit stuff!

Every boss is soloable.
