Trampled Plains with Werewolf triple threat might be a challenge...

Gotcha.
After reading my own post, it didnt seem to make as much sense as I initially thought it would. Just trying to convey that everyone should basically be prepared, and count less on what others should do, and more on yourself. If you get heals, then you are in a win win situation.

We have a video showing an Evy soloing the Red Tyrant, so it's possible too. The Werewolf battle is a bit hard, but they're dodge-able (I was dodging for my life the first time I ever did it, my stupid friend put it on hard macha! ;~; So I was barely able to heal until the last boss). You can also get them stuck in the stairs so you only take on one or two at a time. Bombs help a lot, so do the Mercury Bombs.

I just stick the boss up top, and kite the Werewolfs around the pillers. Time consuming but doable.
Wait, unless there is another mode to Trampled plains? Black breeze and 2 adds right, or is there more?

There's Black Breeze and two Werewolves, plus a chance at a room before the boss for two more Werewolves. If you're soloing though, you would be smart to bring a campfire plus two kinds of HP pots (or the candy).

You are correct. I meant Black Breeze + 2 Werewolves = 3
It's just that the fight is so random and hectic, with 3 different things to watch.

I usually say "No Potion, No Healing" to my party.

Any decent lann worth their play time as lann understands how to dodge or at least tries
Ive seen some broken things with Fionna and her shield it makes her counter look op
In theory you could go a long time without pots
Heck from the start of my lann till kolbold boss so all of boat 1 and most of boat 2 I went without using any pots but the trainer hp pots

Thank you! I went into an ainle battle (it was hell beyond the door, i thought it was wake up call) And it was the only one and it said "NEE DHEALING CLASS!" and we beat the one guy and he goes "Why no you heal me?" I was like "I forgot to...Sorry?" And hes like "Okay, just dont forget next time" I was so mad.
-
Miyumi wrote on 2010-11-03 23:20
You should handle it like me:
"Dude Heal Me"
"Don't have it"
"Dude you're level 38 wtf man"
"so?"
"NOOBB#(*#$)&$#*&#@$)(*&#$"
"coolstorybro"
*finishes mission and leave party*
either that, or just ignore them, let them die, res them get your seals, and continue on like nothing happened.

I understand Evie is not a priest, and is more of an elemental nuker, but why the hostility towards healing? Bringing no potions is a bit extreme, but really, a Laan and Fiona combo need no help from an Evie when it comes to damage.
I've always viewed Evie (staff at least, haven't seen scythe enough to judge) as support, she's squishy, has a healing/rez skill, and the only real damage she can do is from fireball which has a cooldown. The way people are comparing potions to making runes is going a bit far...as there is literally nothing else to use the money for. If you want a run to go faster, having someone that throws out heals is a lot better as the 'traditional' damage classes don't need to stop and take a potion.
I've never actually seen this much resisting towards healing....maybe it's just this specific game. It irks me a bit to see comments like 'let them all die and then rez them for seals' when you could have just healed them and stopped the 'high and mighty' act. It's not that Evie should be a dedicated monk, and the people that expect that anger me even more, however I really don't like the 'we're too good to heal' trend I see happening right now with Evie.

Andy-Buddy wrote on 2010-11-05 00:41
The only time I expect healing is when me and an Evie have reached a non/verbal agreement on it.
The only time I really care about it though, is when I'm using Slashing High and trying to deal as large amount of damage as possible.

It's not so much that we have hostility towards healing, really. It's just that there's hostility towards people who assume Staff Evy's are support types. Despite what people may think, Staff Evy does not have to be a support type. Or even half of one. If you aren't geared towards a bit, then your heals aren't going to be any good. It's like saying, "Oh you suck because you're a hammer Fiona instead of a Sword/Shield Fiona" simply because they have slower guard/counters. Also, Firebolt isn't the only damage spell we have. Magic Arrow rank 9 is pretty darn good with upped intelligence and so is Eagle Talon. There are other things we can do, Firebolt is just the flashiest.
Now, even though I'm support.. I do say I understand those who are damage type Evy's. Some of them even carry pots instead of the healing rune because it won't heal as much as a Fine HP pot. You can't expect any Evy, unless they say they will, to heal you. Even in bad times.

like miyumi said "I think you should just play the game, if someone gets mad for you not healing them, continue to play the game the way you want to and ignore it. Spending th e time to create a thread in response to his stupid thread only means you dedicated 5 minutes of your life to someone who's not worth 5 seconds. D:" i couldn't agree more,
no point in stressing, in the internet there are many stubborn, stupid and ignorant liars that simply love to make stupid remarks and use their fail logic, i say just leave the party and find a better one. it sure is nice when evie heals but she has mpre than just that going on.
