Who is sick of this double rainbow, double exp, etc?
I mean getting double AP and all is great, but it removes the feeling of accomplishment of when you finally do get enough AP and training to master/rank up another skill. Of course this could just be me, but I'd like some others opinions as well.

yep, you're.
Nexon is basically giving us free rb cards with this event since each rb = 2 rb worth and free 2x skill pots
If you got 3 basic cards to rb and tons of 2x skill ranking pots, would you still think the same?
And one thing i tell you, if i was the event gm and saw how ungrateful people towards this kind of event, id spam useless events like the tiger cub one just for revenge. It's kinda sad to see threads like this towards, by far, the best event nexon ever did

Yes I would, because I honestly prefer working hard to earn anything than just having it handed to me.
That and I'd probably never use the cards until I actually needed them which would never happen. I still have a extra gaurdian spider card I've been meaning to use and train, especially during this event.

I said I would, I don't speak for everyone obviously. I don't plan to get into life skilling ever though.

Yeah, I don't feel the same as the OP.
I like saving money and time.
And that feeling goes towards video games.
So, you might not be the only one who feels that way towards this event.
But I like this one. It's a winner in my book.
It's kinda silly to name it after that meme, though. lol~

So you talk about "accomplishment", whereas you also say you don't plan on touching the skills that actually feel like one? Seriously, with few exceptions you can take most combat/magic skills from F to 1 in a matter of hours if you have the AP. That's an accomplishment? Life skills are the only skills that actually require effort.

oh but you should, since you like to work hard for your skills. You'll definitely love life skills

I'm not going to bother starting a argument because life skills basically go down to clicking for hours, having a large bank(for -dex gear, ores, all that stuff), and having people to assist you. I also will never need a ton of dex for anything.
I'm too poor to ever be able to even keep buying all the materials.

Anything you do in this game involves clicking for hours, lol. The entire game's played with a mouse. >_>
And who says you have to buy everything? It helps a lot for tailoring, smithing, and enchanting, but refining and weaving (until you hit fine leather) are completely rankable under your own power. You just need a bit of dedication is all, something you kinda claimed you had in your first post. :/
Maybe you don't need the dex...but how about Carpentry? Do you not need str too?

I can't imagine how long that took, I'm sure you're proud of it and all but life skilling just isn't for me. I might get carpentry up for str every few weeks but that's it.
By few weeks I mean stop by the camp for about 10 minutes and work on it a little, then go on doing whatever I was before.
Edit: I should've known this would've turned into a big argument on life skills....

you'll never get r1 at that rate
and not much time actually. I have one alt with r1 metalurgy so refining was easy to r1. Weaving took longer because my long breaks from it but went from rA to r5 in something like a month and half. without using life skill pots
