Strong nerf against giants? Doubt it. Lances are already unwieldly, even for giants, but they're mostly a giant weapon. Humans are crippled when they try to use them.
Counter-- cancels after about 4 seconds, can't be cancelled once you lower into it, larges range than normal counter.
LCharge-- Linear damage, fairly powerful, slow to load. Don't yet know if it goes through range or magic.
Normal-- The lunge makes you more maneuverable, and the range often gives the lance attack priority simply because it hits from outside the range of normal weapons. The close-range restriction kills though, this thing is definitely a party weapon. Kinda nice though, when you stab at something, anything between you and it will be struck for some serious splash damage.
Defense-- Cannot be used with Lances, making PD and def/prot a serious priority. Also illustrates further that these things are meant for giants and party play.
Down Attack-- Not much affected, but suffers from the issue that Smashing with a lance will chuck things out of range.
Smash-- Same distance restriction as normal attack, throws enemies very far. Don't yet know how good the splash is.
Windmill-- Still ranking on giant, unsure yet as to the effects of lusing a lance.
Windguard-- Can be used with Lance+Shield, but the distance restriction pretty much forces you to windmill, unless you're against one enemy that you can keep outside your suicide zone.
Taunt-- Still usable.
Magic-- Have not yet tested, need to get the books for my giant.

Finefine, set us apart, but quit hindering my elf melee. I don't really care if I can use the lances, I just want the str.

Elf melee
should be hindered. It's meant to be. Elves are not meant for melee applications, and as such should not have the full STR capabilities a human or giant has. If you wanted your melee to be top-tier, you should've been human or giant. End of story.
Besides, elves already have a leg up on both races when it comes to range AND magic, now you want them to be even in melee with higher speed as well? Bawww.

If you want to do melee at it's best, don't be an elf.
There can be epic melee elves, but elves aren't supposed to be the best at melee.

Wow, there's still Generations coming out? Damn, what have I been missing?
Those Lances look really cool and powerful. And that video really seems to transpire that! :O

Either humans be able to run (which they should) or a shield.
And yes. Consider the connection latency between you and KR. It's like saying that WM is bad because you can't load it fast enough.
Lance counter has a .4 second load time on normal conditions within the server. you can EASILY trick any enemy into stepping into it.
And the last time i actually used the defense skill was a long time ago.

The more elves try to be somthing their not, the more they end up failing or being cocky.
Dont try to be the best race plox. Humans are the best skill wise imo. :V
Right now, elves have advantages, and their only disadvantage is Melee, which they are still decent at, but endgame their speed makes them an aset. Theyre just hindered Humans that run on crack at age 10. Not bringing any hate towards elves intentionally, but theyre already powerful enough.
I can see giants with a lance. and Humans with them.
But elves are supposed to be slinky humans who are delicate, using a lance would be silly. :V

Not to mention that Giants are utterly fail with Throwing Attack even with the so called buff. The skill would be great if the 25 second pointless cooldown was gone. An Elf critical windmill for about 500+ all around while a Giant chucks a strong 600 damage javelin on one enemy but is plagued with the cooldown. I still say that Elf Melee is rigged compared to a Giant throw, I'm sure Elf melee would still out damage Throw even if throw did not have a cooldown since 2 seconds per hit and a chance of miss is very crippling compared to 100% windmill all around to enemies and all the WM exploits.

Personally I think that lances should be giant exclusive. The lance are too large and clunky for a human to use.

I'd love to have a lance. Hold it twohanded as a Human.
Make em EGOABLE too. and Cylinders.

Appearntly Humans hold it with two hands and are forced into a walk. >>;
I like the first part of what i said. Not forced into a walk would be better but would break the game a bit lawl.

Im happy for the giant advantage with the lance (makes giant melée alittle more unique than human) but Imo they could of atleast resized it for humans. Their lance animation makes it look like they are having a rediculously hard time carrying that thing (could break their back :( ) or could of made a human version of the lance.
But oh well, after it's official release KR Hunan/giant players can figure out how to use well, its a new system we all need to learn how to use~
