Erm. -Nty ... - Giants are ugly. :]

You do know that you can get a free elf card when you ally with them right? ;) Try to test out both characters and go from there
Yes, I know. I've tested both out before. But as I said before, sticking with human. :D

WM a much as you can today - that way you won't put it off (like I am). You probably will want to get a gladius and a Stiff Fierce Mace/Kite Shield A.S.A.P; the gladii for WMing (see Using WM Effectively), and the Mace/Shield in situations where death is likely (high-hitting mobs). The sooner you get them, the less time you'll spend prof'ing them later on. Whenever you get tired of WMing, you can focus on leveling, with WM finishing optional (Party â–º Finish Rules? â–º Anyone in the party)... But that's kind of opinion based :P
Lool. -Wms like hell- :O Kite Shield = Expensive. Wait, is a gladi + Stiff fierce mace/gladi + kite shield or gladi + stiff fierce (enchant that works for both) mace/kite shield? or mace shield..?
Okay. Well, I am a pretty low level, so I bet i'll get back to WMing in no time, ahah.

I really recommend melee. Even if you end up screwing up skills and not getting WM to R1, you still have a chance to get through the generation quests.
My level 50 no-rebirth new character is testimony to that (got through G1 until around the last part, G9, G10, and halfway through G11 and left at Peaca part, no transformation to help through battles). She has Rank D windmill and CM 9. I purposely screwed it up because I was planning to abandon the character after some time. The enchants on the equipment were quite good though.
Also, don't play Elf if you lag a lot. Human is better for everything. Giants are not bad as well for their uniqueness.
The plan should be:
- Find a way to level and making use of the free rebirths
- Find a way to make money (because you'll get nowhere without it)
- Find the means to get help and get through the difficult parts of generation quests
- Find out more about enchanting, how it is done and how to boost your damage by imbuing special properties onto equipment.
Also, find out how to do exploration. More AP means more power for your character.
-Tries to find out everything.- I'm probably going to be melee, due to simply effective results. Uhm, will go into the other forms of fighting (ooh alchemy), when I am decent or maxed with melee skills.

NONO LISTEN TO ME THE HUMAN ARCHER NOOB :O!
I've played elves and humans. Humans>Elven archery IMO. Elves get shorter load time, sure, but they have a fail aim speed and cost a lot more ap to rank range. Humans get a really good dex boost in general and have 1.5x more aim speed, and trust me, from my experience, that's A LOT. Also, we get AR :D. It's really useful. + We get more damage if we needa go melee for a sec, and most elven archers don't rank combat mastery, so they lack hp.
Pretty much - Humans are better if you're not going to be full on range. Which I'm probably not going to be.

Actually, no.
In some of the servers, there's this thing called China Dragon Armor which boosts attacking speed. I've seen elves attacking really fast. They do make human archers look useless.
Elves are unrivalled when it comes to magnum spamming. I've yet to see a human doing that at their speed.
Also, one thing to note, I will lag a lot when there is an elf in the party, due to the numerous attacks they using within a single time.
Oh. Lagging - Fail :[
I had an elf, Level 50, then lost it...I didn't quit, I lost it.
It was a melee/range actually, mainly because I couldn't live without melee. And I regretted that at Level 40-50, because the unbalance caused both melee and range to be low, and also, there's the fact that if I was going to go hybrid, I'd have to go Range/Magic, if I wanted to have effective attacks.
Thank you for your responses everyone. :]
I have concluded, No elf, human.
First Melee, then Range, and Then Alchemy/Magic...or Alchemy with range, not sure about that yet.
I'm in Ruairi, the name is Andhy, because Ash was taken. :[~ So I named it after this cat's nickname.. Haha! So everyone add me!
Oh, and I haven't found a good windmill guide. How do you counter? What are the missing ???s that I need to level up?
