what is your general impression of them from your most recent experiences?
ever since Open Beta I've slowly began to lose friends on mabi, most of them sorta fade away and I end up wondering "whatever happened to that guy/girl" oneday when I realize they haven't logged on or anything like that
and because of this weird loss of friends I've started to notice how hard it is to make friends on mabi
noone really ever askes for help so that isn't really an option that commonly arises (if they do I'd turn them down if it's something really tedious and unnecessary)
Guilds- recently just left one because I felt uncomfortable the fact that there's "flirting" going on, some flirting on mabi may not really be serious, but I mean when it's not humorous I just don't want to see it (the guild leader tells me that's a bogus reason to leave the guild, I'd like Nation's opinion on that too)
in general I've noticed myself solo-ing things very often because, I hardly have any friends left that I seem comfortable dungeoning with, noone is ever really at dungeons, and in dunny everyone PVPs, AFKs, or act like people that desperately needs to get some, for a lack of a better word (cause I can't understand what would be entertaining about what they do unless that was the case)
and.. I always lose myself by the end of long walls of text LOL dang, anyways in general things just seem unfriendly, I think was the point, and if not unfriendly they're way too friendly (if you get what I mean)

Well, if you aren't comfortable in a guild, you shouldn't be in it. That's what I've always believed, and that should be the only reason you need to leave a guild.
As for the community...
It doesn't seem as friendly as it used to be, in game. The community here on the forums is great, but in game nobody is as helpful. It's like people would rather just keep to themselves and solo things.

Hmm I remember in Open Beta going around a campfire with a bunch of cool people and saying I wish times like these never end. That the Mapletards wouldn't invade and ruin our nice little community ._. guess what happened? Right now the only friend from Open Beta that I have left is Sanaki, my second oldest friend is Aichi.

I agree that making friends on mabi is kinda hard, though that might be my anti social self. I also frequently leave guilds b/c of low interaction and it seems like I have a hard time choosing good guilds.

Yeah I find this rather annoying, I have this one really good friend ingame and we ALWAYS drop whatever we are doing to help eachother out. Cept his computer is broken so I've been ALONEEE

Too bad those old days of mabi are long gone.

There's a lot of unfriendly things in Mabi sure, but I've had no problem sticking around the things that are nice. In truth, I have more friends now than I had before.
As for your reasons of leaving the guild, I'd call bogus on that too, but that really depends if you had actual reasons to stay. I dunno, my guild is very open and we're all very weird. So if someone told me they left because they thought something was perverted, "good riddens" would be my way of thought.

The community never really changed since the early days of official except for the size of the community.

Why should they be in a guild they aren't comfortable with? I wouldn't want to be in a guild if they were discussing something I didn't agree with or didn't feel comfortable with.

Wait there was drama in the Beginning?

It's news to me as well. Only thing I can think of that you can consider drama was the mass QQing about the Bangor Seal Stone still being up because no one was ranking Ranged skills. D:

well the guild leader spammed me to join, so after the 3rd day I decided to
it was also the leader that had the most to do with this "perversion"
it wasn't necessarily the idea of the flirting that bothered me, just the fact that it happens ALL THE TIME, since I was in the guild so yeah
and I guess subconsciously this is how I must be seeing it: the more people do it the more desperate they really look, because alot of times the "jk" is just a coverup

I only have 1 friend who actively plays mabi anymore, and he's always busy with stuff so I don't want to bug him to run dungeons and stuff.
Every guild I've joined is too inactive or full of obnoxious people.

I sometimes think that I could be abit anti-social too
and I'm glad this thread got some positive replies (ironic cause it's pretty much negative) I half expected people to call me antisocial or need to be better at making friends or something

Of course there is. It was less known because there were less people back then. Now the community has grown larger, the amount of people who cause drama becomes more apparent due to them being larger in numbers.
Then again, it really depends on who/what group you interact/involve yourself with. You maybe one of those people who never seen drama or you maybe one of those people who always see the drama.
