Don't you feel limited, at least socially from being the only member in your guild?
You must not have played Runescape. I cannot trust those whom I cannot see.

I think it's best to look at people on a situational basis as well =] maybe instead of setting a level standard explain the level average of your guild, and expand on that. Generally interviewing people or having them add you in game to talk for a bit helps.
That's a good idea > < We do have an interview process that we're working on. Finding it to be too serious for our tastes but...I guess if we want to recruit members to keep, it'll have to be serious in the beginning to prove our sincerity as well as theirs.
Quote from Sora0147;248601:
Don't make someone make an application and then let someone else in without one, it looks bad on you and can make your members look at you poorly for doing something hypocritical.
Also a note I took from my friend in rebel was that they do not let anyone in if a single person has a problem with them. Keep trolling and drama to a minimum it turns people off from your guild as well as makes people want to leave if they can't deal with it.
I think thats it rofl.
Before, we generally never had an application process, just accepted people and see how it went. Or, for the past few months, rejected anybody who did not have connections within the guild already.
So for us, it's so strange to be interviewing, taking notes, etc. You're right though, it's important to have an application to be fair, and most of all to avoid drama. It's just a whole different ball game now, because of the total level bar we're setting....
Thanks for the contributions, everyone ;)

Yeah we totally skyped for like 12 hrs a day during that event. That's how I ended up joining their guild later, but the leader and basically everyone else I know quit mabi by now, and the officer sold his account =(

My former guild used to spam charge at elves in ch1 dun dressed in nothing but tree/thicket costumes in a full party. My guild officer was the best.. I rmb during dboating, he'd get on the raft, turn on evg, and while we were rafting, he'd get up and lb the guy on the other side of the raft to death, and be like "omg r u ok? im so sory my hand slipped". The guy would believe him and be like "it's ok, i'm ok", but my officer would get up and lb him to death again and apologize for the 'mistake'. It took about 5 times of dying for the person to realize he was just being trolled, and then my officer just kept camping him on the raft for the rest of the trip..
damn I miss that guy =(

i haven't been in elegant for very long (about two weeks now) and before that i was in a two-person guild. i do not regret my decision one bit to join, and everyone's so much fun :3c i do rather enjoy the activity level, and the amount of things we get to do together * A* the skype is pretty fun, too.
basically, it's keeping me from getting bored of mabi and giving me a lot of motivation to do better. elegant = ♥ and i wish i'd joined earlier * v*

I don't really think it's unique, but it reminds me of my Maple guild. I love those guys to death. We're like a close-knit family. Although there's drama at times, it does get taken care of. Some events my Mabi guild does are fashion show(cross-dressing, etc.), tag via EvG, wars, etc. Over the summer, we created a bee cult and a watermelon cult. Simon was selling some super-awesome robes, so that's how that started.
