I know what you mean, but I still want to go through with it (Of course, I'm not going to go do it in an obsessed fashion). I figure that if I can't find out, I'll just by something like a teddy bear. Nobody can resist a teddy bear.
Get her a big fat fluffy stuffed animal she can put in her room. ;3

No, no. You're doing it all wrong. Cut off your ear and give it to her. Pull a Van Gogh.

I think that would be a negative if he pulled a Van Gogh. After all, Van Gogh did it to show his love for a hooker, so I doubt Pika wants to tell his crush he thinks she's a hooker.

Well this ended up rather terribly, or rather anti-climactic. I only see her during two class periods and once in the halls by her locker. Every time I attempted to ask her I got cockblocked somehow.
In gym the boys and girls were forced to split into separate sides for a gender specific activity.
In Lunch I was JUST about to go to her table when all of a sudden two kids decide to start a fight. This causes me to be forced to return to my seat and the rest of the Lunch put to Silent Lunch mode.
Then I tried to go to the place where her locker was, but the hallways were packed with kids since Lunch wasn't excused early due to the fight. By the time I finally reached her locker, she wasn't there and I was nearly late or class.
In the end I ended up asking my friends what their opinion was for what I should get. A few of the guys said getting a bear would be creepy and that chocolates would be awesome, but some other friends, including guys and girls, said that a bear would work fine, or that I should give her both.
I figure all I need to do now is just find a bear and some chocolate to give her. Except iunno, I was thinking I could be more original than that. Would it be weird if I substituted the bear and chocolate for a Pikachu with a bag of my home made cookies instead? At least ALL of my friends have had my cookies before and agree that they're amazing.

I don't see what the problem is with chocolate.
Chocolate roses being all the more original.
A teddy bear is probably when you are actually IN a relationship...
As Cucurbita said, chocolates (and roses) are a great start-off point that bridges the crush to the relationship.
It's subtle, nothing too big, nothing too pricey.
But if done the right way, with a toss of a compliment or a sweet card to go with it,
you could change a lot about what she sees in you.
Alright, want originality? You don't necessarily need to GIVE her something tangible and leave it at that.
I don't know if any girls agree with me but the boys with really good ideas never cease to impress.
My friend Ryan gave his crush a word search.
But stay with me - the crush of his, Lucy, voluntarily finished it.
At the bottom it indicated that she take all the leftover words to form a sentence.
The sentence was an address to a restaurant called Jack Astor's in Toronto,
and you know, this was his way of asking her out on a date.
Honestly, c'mon. What girl would reject that kind of chivalrous, yet subtle approach?
Sometimes I find that girls are either over-flattered or under-flattered.
A compliment, or a teddy bear (which will end up making her smile, or totally freak out).
Up to you.

I dont think a bear will make her freak out or be a bad gift, but its totally a "second" gift type.
Btw, a nicely gift wrap packaged home made cookies with a holiday card attached is a nice alternative to chocolate roses.

Get her an insanely cute stuffed animal. If she's asian, get her a stuffed Domo.

But seriously, don't try to shower her. It'll be sorta awkward considering the situation between you two. Don't get her anything that will make her wanna avoid you, like perfume or something that shows your strong feelings, cuz they she'll be sorta freaked out.
Good luck.

Wait, Pika, don't listen to the guys.
Listen to GIRLS.
Since GIRLS know pretty much everything about how awesome we are.

So cookies are okay but chocolates are not?
K whatever.
