So im curious on whats the opinion of a heavy armor STAFF Evie?
I tried discussing this on the nexon forums and well, lets say I dont ever wanna go back there with the ammount of hate that place has.
Seems reasaonable to me, since the idea is for a more support oriented character and as far as I know all of Evies support skills dont even use Int/Mag attack. This would allow you to have quite a bit more survivability and allow you to be safer in the thick of things so you you dont get bored sitting the farthest back you can during a boss fight etc.
Plus you know it would be funny to see someone wearing full Laghodessa with a Blooming Staff just for the LoLz.

It's fine, you don't get as much of a boost if you were an offensive staff Evie, I don't know exactly if you can slide a full heavy armor set on an Evie for sure though, at least 4 pieces though... I think.

I heavily doubt that'd be viable but if you want to, why not?
Actually, if your goal is just to be able to go into the thick of things and play as a "melee healer", why invest in heavy armor when you can keep your current damage and effectiveness by simply getting better at playing the game.

As far as survivability goes, I don't really see the point of being in the "thick of things" unless you wanted to attack, using your int/m. atk.
As for how much less int that'll be, I guess it isn't that much of a difference though. Naked you'll have like somewhere around 750 int-ish, which isn't -that- far from 1300 or however much evies get with rose drop set.
If you wanted to play pure support, I think it's more ap-efficient to bring out a maxed golem rather than maxing out weight endurance + heavy armor/plate. Idk you could get both golem and armor, but armor seems overkill to me, since I really don't think you'd be getting attacked unless everyone died...
I have seen an evie with full lagh before though... although that evie was a scythe user.

Because its boring standing in the back spamming a hot key to heal someone. Im trying to go for a melee healer concept. Supporting from the front lines instead of the rear. Staff Combos, Fireball, and Arrow Spam up close while still doing healing and support. I was joking about the Lag set, I was more thinking of Blood Prince or War Edge on a Staff Evie.

I don't think your stamina will allow you to do that. One thing about randomers, they turn reckless when they see a staff evie.
As for viability, I think Tasha's
guide explains it rather well.
Edit: Although you don't really need the bonus dmg from int, later on, you won't be able to equip heavy/plate armor, making those points you dumped into weight endurance/heavy armor prof go to waste.

I just meant, if you're trying to survive, why not sit on the outside lol.
But yeah, I see what you mean. I like attacking too lol.
Also, eh, staff's melee combos don't ever seem particularly useful other than the fact that they don't cost any stamina. They always felt slow for the amount of damage they do, but then again, I haven't messed around with it that much.
I feel that if you're going to be doing damage you're better off spamming arrow and firebolt, while dodging the boss' attacks in between.
Then, just running back whenever you want to heal someone, since stamina is always an issue.

@Singleuseonly
I know this "Effect" well. I and my brother usualy play Healer type in games and we have come to call it the "Hulk Effect". Cause for the most part you have smart, mild mannered bruce banner. But when you start healing him suddenly he changes and loses his mind to reckless rage and becomes The Hulk, "Hulk SMASH !"
lol
@Newpants
I need a little action since I cant jump around like a neurotic tree frog in the back. My usual setup is if none needs heals, pop a fireball and arrow spam and when low melee combo until stam is back up since Evies stam regens while shes attacking. I generaly find it a waste to heal someone unless they are close to just over half health or lower. I also try to litter the place with delicious heart cookies AKA Erg crystals as well. Im also a fan of the SP regen skill as well.

I've seen evies around in almost full Lago
The only piece they didn't have were gloves.
So as far as being able, sure.
I don't think you lose that much damage due to int losses, so if you value looks over several minutes per room or boss, then go for it.

If you want to be a "melee healer" you're gonna seriously want to slash your wrists.
Staff Evie's smash attacks are the worst of all the classes. A full combo can't even kill a normal mob on boat 2. Heck, sometimes even 2 full combos can't. And boat 3 and 4... ugh... it's not even worth using them they do such pathetic damage.
Honestly if that's what you want, just max Alchemy: Erg Transformation and go with Scythe.
Don't bother with heavy armor though. The INT is more important, regardless of what weapon you end up using. And you'll never be able to wear a full heavy set, especially any of the later ones...
Also, if you plan on using a Staff Evie just to melee and spam heals... Please for the love of god don't play with me because you're gonna be a total waste of space in any party you're in.

I think by melee he means firebolt/mid range magic arrow. Staff Evie's sprint smash at r9 is alright (fire mines) doing an attack talon can kill boat 4 mobs in 1 combo except for those mini gnoll chieftans.

o_o; I can back that up, I think he means the charge fire mine, attack, cast fire mine skill. It OHKO's all the mobs in any boat, except the big hammer dudes in boat 4 and (of course) the bosses. <3 And it can hit multiple enemies at once xD
But.. >_>;; Don't go Heavy Armor, please. That's a loss of INT that makes me sad, and if you're going Staffy Support.. I will still say it's not necessary because you will be required to deal damage no matter what. I know the whole, "But I'll live longer!" is good, but you end up just being selfish and not supporting the team as much as you should be. Solo-wise? Who cares what you wear, go with what you want. o_o But really, don't waste the AP unless you have to.
Edit* I forgot to mention, we can't wear all the heavy armor yet anyways because of the weight limit. It's NOT worth it as a Staffy. Go with the Rose Drop.

@Tasha
I think your missing the point. Plus why the hate? I left the Nexon forums to get away from all the people who are acting like you are now.
Whats more active?
1: Standing there waiting on Stamina to regen doing nothing or are just running around.
2: Staying in the Fight and Meleeing while your Stamina regens at what seems like the same rate.
Im trying to do something differant, and to keep the game intresting.
@PandaSong
I always thought someone whos activly in the fight, and not dying. Is supporting and contributing to the party well enough. Since When did this change?
*Edit* Im Actualy looking at using Blood Prince until I can go with War Edge. To Put these in perspective.
Blood Prince/Rose Drop is 353 Int Differance at around 706 Magic Attack.
War Edge/Rose Drop is 282 Int Differance at around 564 Magic Attack.
Please educate me why that loss is so huge that it makes my character unplayable and unwanted in parties please? Honestly I would like to know.
