Using transformations without AP?

  I like it. It designs the system so that you use it when you need it, not at 5:50 or when you want to tear through easy crap. Also, daily Ruins mission will give AP for 1-4 transes per day at 0 token cost.

  Don't forget that the Lagho raid gives a base of 20ap. So that's enough for two transformations easily. Just don't spam the transformation and you should be good.

  I'd consider it more sensible if there were bosses you were likely to fight rarely, say the mainstream bosses or Demi Lich in Mabinogi. But since the only monsters that are difficult enough to call for trans (raid bosses) are generally spammed, transformation will really only be used for fun. I for one would likely use that AP towards skills that are going to be used much more/are more useful.
  Not to mention that once you've hit the cap, you're pretty much playing only for AP, and trans kind of defeats the purpose of that.

  Well, you guys can waste your AP if you want. Having a 1000 AP Cap as well as skills that take 300-500 AP to rank up doesn't change how valuable AP is. IMO as long as transformation takes AP I'd rather stop everything and rank meditation than transform, since at least I get some kind of long-lasting benefit to my AP investment.

  Yeah, 10AP isn't a big deal.. it won't even make a dent in your skills and it's not like you're spamming it every 2 minutes.

  It builds up, for one.
  For two, pretty much every mission is at a low multiple of 10. You're sacrificing at least 1/5 of the reward, assuming higher missions start at 50.
  
  The thing is these bosses will be spammed over. And over. And over again. When do you decide that you're going to use trans, except out of fun, or boredom, or whatever?
  
  I guess the point I'm trying to make is, boredomshowingofffunwhatever isn't really a good reason to burn what could be useful.
  
  If anything, 300-500 ap is just more of a reason why you need all that ap.
  
  Actually, I think it's the fact you guys are more hardcore than I am that's the reason why I'm less likely to use trans- as a more casual gamer I get less AP that needs to be saved, while you guys have everything maxed and can burn AP. :P
