And you guys can indeed hit from a distance, which keeps ya safer. Just put a Barrier Spikes in front of ya, if you're nervous. o_o
carpentry, fishing and refining. 3 of the skills melee will surely need to hit endgame

And I have yet to rank two of those.
However, if there was a Merchant class, Blacksmithing would be so much easier to rank and that kinda defeats the purpose, IMO.

I'm a Knight, I kill things heroically.

probably there would be more people ranking it just for its dex and not just to get rich by r1

Call me weird, but I approve the name change to Destiny System... Class System sounded so boring compared to Destiny System.
Of course, you can change it every week or three weeks, but in your "erinn life" you choose your destiny. This is one of the localization translations I approve of!
I will be alchemist first!

Idk D:
I wanna go melee but alchemy's pretty appealing too.
Not to mention I love lightning.
Idk yet.

Archer. It's the best fit.

Bow Mastery will certainly help a lot, specially beginner rangers... won't make having to r1 most life skills for endgame damage any less painful, though.

Blacksmith would still be impossibly hard even with a Merchant class... though I think the main draw from Merchant would be getting real experience through life-skilling, which would let you alternate between the combat aspect of mabinogi and taking a break to produce things without experiencing an AP shortage.
Besides, many people like life skills but aren't into the whole combat system... being self-sufficient AP-wise within a non-combat class would be a great change of pace and a breath of fresh air.

You know what, you may have a point.
Enchant is 2x training with Mage class.
And Synthesis is 2x training with Alchemist class.
I don't see why we can't have a Merchant class.

So, apparently Nexon has named the new "Class" System "Destinies"
Great way to cloak it by giving it a name like that.
I think I'm Destined to become a Mage. So I'll choose that Destiny first so I can up the power of my "Nukes". Though I'm also destined to become a Warrior. *sigh*
Choices, choices, choices. What is your Destiny?
I'm probably imagining things here, but i remember in that first interview i google trans'd when g13 was about to come out in KR, they already called destiny or something like that. Going to dig that thread and check~
It's unusual for me to defend nexon, I know. But we might be aiming the rocks at the wrong window.
Edit: oh yeah, on topic. Going for Knight here, then after i'm done maxing my melee tab I'll fiddle with alchemy.
Edit2: Nope, wasn't in that one. But I'm sure this is not the first time the class system is called like that >:

Maybe they're saving it for the Merchant of Venice, like someone mentioned before? haha

Mage, then eventually...Alchemy (but that is a big "eventually", want to finish Mage first) <<<For my main (Elf)
Warrior all the way for my Giant (saving getting Defense to 1 till G13 so I can use the double training from Warrior class)

ugonna100 wrote on 2011-01-06 02:20
Wait a minute.. double training.. does that mean WM = shorter!?

I would totally call myself a Merchant. It'd be awesome if they gave Merchants a discount XD.
