  Minor spoilers :
  Well, I'm speculating here, but I think her wish is probably going to be to wish for Mami's body back or something. Even the preview for the next episode had her voice (I think) in it, hinting that it might happen next episode. It's been revealed this episode that Kyubey basically removes the girl's soul from her body and makes it into a soul gem, meaning that if they bring back her body and her soul gem, she can probably live again.

  
  
  Homura said trying to bring back the dead was a fruitless task, so i doubt she can make that happen.
  As for the sailor moon thing, the only thing madoka has in common is a mahou shojo staple, the enemy of the week mechanic and even then, it might drop that soon.

  Kyubey neither steals souls nor derives pleasure from doing his job. Puella Magi remain in possession of their souls. While he may go too far in order to kill witches, that is his reason for doing everything he does, he doesn't do it for fun. He also does not do anything that he knows will cause harm, he just views things differently from humans.

  Well I made it to the 6th episode. It's nothing like sailor moon. Poor Madoka. She threw away Sakyura's soul and didn't even realize it. Thankfully Homura had the courtesy to go and fetch it. I can't wait for episode 7. Best Anime Ever. It's so full of sadness though and Kyubey is an interesting creature. So calm and passive, yet she keeps trying to get Madoka to become a Mahou Shoujo. Madoka seems so weak and frail. I wonder just how powerful she'll be.

  Man, i wonder how much longer Sayaka can even last and how long it will take before Makoda becomes a Peulla Magi and what she will do for her wish.

  I guess I was wrong about Kyubey, he is definitely evil. I really have to wonder what he's planning. When I thought he was a well intentioned extremist with blue and orange morality, his goals seem so strait forward. Episode 8 has me very confused.

  I will make a full intuitive guess with what I've seen for the backround in the following attempted white text:
  Kyubei is a powerful being that absorbs grief from the world to give himself more power. He goes through different dimentions and proceeds to continue creating "magical girls", who are actually just one step from becoming Witches. As more "magical girls" and Witches are in the world, he proceeds to collect more grief seeds for his power. Finally, as the world will be eventually destroyed due to the amount of Witches, Kyubei changes timelines and/or planets to repeat this happening.
  In the last timeline he went to, Madoka knew this Homura, and they were friends. As Madoka saw Homura in need, she decides to become a "magical girl."
  However, after she becomes one, her soulgem rapidly experiences entropy, due to its size. As so, she becomes a Witch soon after, one so powerful as to destroy this world immediately.
  Homura, realizing Kyubei's hand in this, and his intentions, decides to follow him to the next timeline to be attacked, realizing that the Madoka in that timeline would face a similar situation.
  
  Then the events already shown happen.
  
  Two issues that I'm uncertain about would be how Kyubei gets a final benefit from this world destruction by Witches, and about the starting of Witches in each new place.
  For the second, I will guess that Kyubei makes a contract with one girl, granting her wish. This girl, however, will have no grief seeds to help her recover, and will eventually become a Witch.
  
  Well, that's my guess. Might be right, might be wrong. Most likely there are points that are off.

  I'm beginning to really dislike Kyubey. Sure he's cute...but god eating himself...that's just creepy and also poor Sakuaya. I new she wouldn't last much longer. She was weak from the beginning. I'm beginning to see Homura as a good person now. The plot just got more complicated.
