With your pet dog. You've had him for the longest, let's say 8 years now.
You have been stranded for days and haven't eaten once during that time. Your dog dies from hunger. Your exhausted and desperate mind begins to think...
And now you have to make a choice.
Would you eat your dog?
I don't even need to be in the situation to answer...
Hell no.
I don't care how desperate I am. I would rather die and let him eat me. But I would never eat my friend.

I would never eat her, I'd bury her and try to find something else if not oh well..
my pets are my family
to me eating her would be like eating my sister..

Exploring trip gone wrong, perhaps. :(

On the mountain, there are sources of food everywhere.
I might get stranded, but I wouldn't go hungry.

I'd eat it... I wouldn't be able to resist the taste of those things. Thinking of 'em right now is makin' me hungry <3 You know how Asians are with dogs and cats /stereotype
On a serious note, I would eat it. It's already dead... sooooo~ yaaa. I'd bury some parts of it and eat the rest.
Yeah.. I'm not so bonded with animals and whatnot

Is that always certain?
I saw a show where a guy got stranded on his camping/exploring trip and it was pretty much just snow, snow, snow. No food.

well say it was covered in snow
most resources are buried
and uhh.. you say this now but try catching animals in the freezing hold, little energy and not many tools to work with
I love how most people would be like
"Thats cake"
when in reality most of these people would die.

I've watched too much ****ing Bear Grylls to not be able to find food atop a mountain.
Also I would never eat 8-year-old Billy.

Eat the snow. IIRC, you can live without proper food for 10 days anyway. And using water as a substitute for food is a viable method. Just don't expect it to get you anyway.
I don't like the taste of dog. Maybe how it was prepared..?

Is that the part with the staged animal remains or the part where he heads to the nearest holiday inn?

I would never go hiking/exploring past the point where plants can grow. So it's certain.

I didn't say "That's cake".
I only said "I wouldn't starve".

snow is 10% water 90% air
so you would not only die from hypothermia but also risk dehydration

Eating snow actually isn't advised. Eating snow can deplete your body of energy, lowering its core temperature.

But lol, that's not an option here.
You're stranded. What do you do?

what about a plane crash?
you land in a lake you're freezing cold your pilot is dead and you're all by yourself with nothing but your cold wet clothes and your dog..
