Yeah I thought so too but I can be the same way so I kinda understand. We also didn't speak or read japanese at all so that kinda made things worse.
And thanks, he's doing better. That event was a long time ago. I'm not sure of the timing but I know the bangor seal stone had just been broken(jp server). He went away to school for a while and was frequently put into situations where he had no choice but to speak to people.
So just because someone runs off after you res them doesn't mean they didn't really really appreciate it. :XD: And to that person who saved my little brother from that bear many years ago, I thank you!

Pft I was a early beta player so I got into the habit of reviving anyone who's dead.
Besides, feathers are cheap..

I will revive anyone if I have feathers on hand, if not I'll tell them that I don't.
I don't want to look like a jerk or anything. :X

speaking of jerk,
I'm not sure if what one of them meant but they left saying
"too dumb to revive"

If someone's been courteous or is asking politely for a rev-- I don't mind lending a hand. But if anyone, anoyone at all, considers me to be obliged to do something, be it because of my gear, class, RA status, total level, strength, ability-- anything at all, I will refuse to help. Being an archer does not mean I need to cover people. Being an RA does not oblige me to help with mainstream. Being total 1K+ does not infer, in any way shape or form, that I should have to help people with their low-level missions.
Same policy applies to revival. I don't mind helping, but I don't have to and should not be treated like I do.

How about being a good person?

I can be completely grouchy, hostile, and antisocial. Still no excuse to not use a feather. It isn't about being nice, it isn't about being expected to do it. It is just part of mabi's custom and traditions. If you refuse to feather someone when you have the feathers to do so... I don't consider you rude or mean, or cool. I look at it the same way as if I walked in on someone picking their nose and eating it. Enjoy that thing if you want to, but ew. Why the hell would you?

Why not? Free 120 EXP.
If it's someone I dislike, then no.

I do it, pretty much because of the fact that I always get revived, if I don't get revived though.. I AFK till I'm revived. (It usually works)

Well, I don't revive people, partially because I never have seen anybody dead in front of me before, and also because I never had feathers.
When I was a noob, I used to think they could revive you, so that's why I actually had them... ;_;
However, I love healing people. 8D plop me next to a mana tunnel and i'll heal you all day

So not following everyone's orders makes me a bad person? If someone asks me nicely, and I have the time, I will gladly batter my way through most things for random strangers. But not if they tell me to.

User495 wrote on 2011-01-18 04:41
I think he meant like, "instinctively" reviving someone, before they say anything
is an act of good will/good person

I don't care if they tell me to or ask me to. I do it because I want to. Don't let others dictate your actions. I guess if they told me not to res them I wouldn't...:what:
