Put in more effort. Study harder and longer. Ask teachers for assistance. If you're failing a class, you're either mentally handicapped in some way and/or shouldn't be in that class in the first place, or you're not trying hard enough.
Discuss.

What if it was an outside cause and you have/had no control over the situation?

Then, you probably shouldn't be going to school anyways. Only very few people have these types of situations. For them? Sucks to be them. Life is unfair.

I hope this outside cause doesn't include Mabination...
Sometimes, talking to the professor may help you arrange around the tests or whatever to be better schedule you.
Still, there should be no reason to FAIL a class. It is actually pretty hard to fail one if you actually studied.
A certain class of mine does team tests. It's where the difficulty of the test is cranked Up To Eleven, and you have 4 people to solve it. Thing is, if one person misses the answer, points are deducted from the team.
There are like 3 smart kids in the class. Me included.

If anything, the best way to do better in school is to stop playing Mabinogi and games in general. But who wants to do that?
You know I found that games never distracted nor took away from my schoolwork. It's all a matter of finding balance.
For some people, they can never find a balance. Everyone's different in commitment.

It's easy to find a balance in high school and lower. It's way harder to manage your time in college.
That's not always the case. Asking teachers for help doesn't always guarantee that they'll help you, especially if said teacher seems to disagree with everything you said throughout the class. Before you even say otherwise, she kept failing me for no reason. I reached out and asked her for help and her response was to scoff at me say, "You didn't read the directions" and walk away. After that I looked at a fellow classmates who had an A to see what I was
As someone who is teaching/becoming a teacher I have to disagree with you. A majority of the kids that I have taught and work with tend to have quite a bit of situations happening in their life that are interfering with class and schoolwork. Just because a student is failing does not mean they're not trying, sometimes situations just get the best of people.
Uhmm.. it is easy to fail a class when you have no time to study due to living on the street, LOL.
Some people just have hard lives and, no matter how hard they try, can't find the time to study.
I think it's admirable to still go to School despite everything. Otherwise, you're kind of giving up on yourself.
I myself have went through more sh*t in the past few months then many people have had in a few years. So forgive me for sounding rude, but yeah.. you should rethink that opinion.
