Best way to train all 4 magic shields?
If cerberus statues count for training, probably that

I have red upgrade stone (event) on my alternative character, and I want to use it when they give out the free trade unlock potion.
Assuming I fail the special upgrade, will the item be binded again?

Use imp pet shield over barrier spikes and use guns to attack barriers, will get you to r1 in like 5 mins.

- All: Imp shields things, preferably Barrier Spikes from Provocation or Saga 1 Episode 7 Tense Escape (where you run from the NPCs), and then you attack the mob that's being shielded with whatever (just melee does fine). I did the latter since you can just leave to the nearby Hot Springs and come back.
- Natural Shield: Saga 1 Episode 7 Tense Escape, third wave (past Barrier Spikes) has four Elf Guards with archery. Not only do they do little damage, but they constantly attack with Normal Human Ranged Attack (yes, human, as in they only shoot once) as if they have auto attack on; they never stand still, pause, or try to load Magnum or anything else.
- Ice Shield: Ice Wyverns above Hot Springs.
- Fire Shield: Saga 1 Episode 10, Macha fight. Fireball spam that deals pitiful damage.
- Lightning Shield: Mutant Carnivorous Plants in Shyllien Outskirt District 1.

Not really the best method; takes a while to get to and pretty heavy on RNG.

I've seen a lot of people with these cute little foxes wearing ribbons, anyone have some info or a wiki link so I can find out about them?

I think those are the Fox Mini-gems.
Due to my horribly low amount of posts, I can't post a link but just look up "Fox Mini-Gem" on wiki (:

So since we'll be getting Lucky and Protection Upgrade Stones in two weeks and I didn't have anything to test those on last time devCAT gave those for free (and I can't find the relevant thread), which of those lets you safely attempt a step 6 special upgrade without chances to blow the item up?

Lucky Upgrade Stone = 100% success in upgrading from step 1 to step 6 (Don't forget to
not use it for your first upgrade since upgrading to step 1 is always 100%)
Stone of Protection = Safe attempt Step 5 to Step 6 without breaking the weapon (doesn't guarantee succeeding tho)

Lucky is for 100% up to step 5, not step 6.

So I can stop trying to get my champ knuckles to R5 before getting the stones (they're R4 now)? That's awesome info, thanks!

And thank you for the clarification!

To mages: why a savage ice wand?
I upgraded my blaze to rank 1 and ice spear to 9, but now I'm having trouble deciding on the weapon.
Celtic druid staff + Savage fire wand seems like a better idea, you can ice spear, and lightning rod with the staff, and with the savage fire wand you can blaze, also snapcast+fireball and spam firebolts when needed.
What benefits does an ice wand give aside from the weapon switch removal? The extra ice spear damage? The blaze casting speed upgrade?

Ice Spear>Blaze combo and the most matk from any of the wands, since lightning/fire generally get CC.

What normal and special upgrades to get on a Demonic Hellfire Cylinder and why?

Full fire damage and R upgrade
Each fire damage goes into each hit, means it might look like 20 but over a normal 5 tick flame burst its actually 100 effectively.
R upgrade because flame burst ignores protection when calculating crit, making S upgrades completely useless.

Just a quick and dumb question about the Aton Cimeni anvil...
I'm told that it's +50% success rate, so if I went step 6 on one, it would be 95% success rate? Or am I misunderstanding this?
