But it's so much more thought provoking when the writer has opinions about the subject matter and expresses them.
This is what Arsik wrote to you a few months ago, when you said the similar thing.
Well I never advocated the idea that news should be nothing but entertainment. In fact, that's what most main stream media is anyways (sports, celebrities, etc). I meant that neutral news is boring in that there are no real opinions or stances being presented and is incredibly mind numbing and not thought provoking in the least.
That's how headline news should be, no opinions. If I wanted bias, I'd watch one of those news shows that focus on one topic for the show, and then all the bias can come out as the host so chooses. But when I want news that is targeted for everyone, and not just one group, then it should be unopinionated, so that everyone gets the same story. If there's any bias what-so-ever, then I'm not getting the whole story.
I stand by his statement.
Real journalism should be unbiased.
