Link to stats? =/
Really considering breaking my bast now... bleh
It's incomplete now, but here's a list of stats for all sword Egos. From looking at it, the Dustin Silver Knight Sword is stronger than the Two Hander, even at only all stats level 40 (by one point Max Damage, and twice as much Crit, though half as much balance compared to the Two Hander). So if the site updates the DSKS's Ego stats, then I would assume that it will deal more damage than the Two Hander.

Best 1h - Gladius
Best 2h - DSK Sword
Which one is more useful? Gladius for obvious reasons - dual-wield WM.
2h weapons are only for non-crit Smash and looks.

The main reason why someone would want a 2hander type ego is to sacrifice versatility for stun rate.

Some people prefer bastard sword for it's higher max dmg.
But personally I like gladius for its higher crit rate.

Broadsword as an ego is disgusting imo.
Use a gladius as 1h ego. :L

Haha, no one would ego a broadsword.
I wrote that late at night. >.>
My bad.
I meant - Gladi

I find 2h weapons much better than dual wielding. The stun and splash are nothing to shrug at.
Dual-wield windmill is overrated. Especially as your base strength and non-weapon enchants get higher and higher.

They're both good. I've thought about breaking my 2h ego many times but making a gladius ego has a lot of drawbacks as well. Such as you actually need to have another fully upgraded broad sword in order to compete with 2h ego's max, lower dur, lower stun, lower wm range etc.

So I'm gonna guess it's not worth breaking my current ego for a DSKS then?

If your ego is already close to max, then why waste on another ego if the results will be the same basically?

Because I'm a damage hoe :/
I made this thread to see if it'd be worth it to start over in order to squeeze out these last points of damage. And since Archibald reminded me about DSKS ego, it's even more tempting.. T_____T
decisions, decisions. if DSKS beats out dual wield ego by a large margin i'd rather restart now than when I have lvl50 bastard ego str.

I'm sorry.
I can't read pro-ness.
But in my english, I find that it's all in your gaming ways.
Many people ego a Broadsword, and ultra-pro-ly upgrade another.
As a giant, 2h are extremely dominant, so it's only obvious that once I can actaully equip the weapon, I will ego it.
I think it's better if you ego one of those Big axes (Not sure what they are called) than a 2hander, due to giant transformation skill. Besides, it's probably better to put 2hander enchants on them instead.

First thing that comes into my head when someone mentions 2h is the 2hand sword Dx.

Which one of the 2H'ed weapons has really low min damage?
Can't stand low min damage... No amount of balance can fix low min damage.
-
Mentosftw wrote on 2010-05-12 04:47
^ I did some calculations with average damage and balance is a more affecting factor than min damage.
All of this is irrevelent. Anything will die eventually provided you hit it enough.
